Title: Re: 16.50 turbo, last 14 Post by: Rivertony on February 28, 2012, 02:29:57 AM Better spots out there so it's a fold for me
Title: Re: 16.50 turbo, last 14 Post by: action man on February 28, 2012, 07:58:38 AM ugh, sick spot, if you get a jam through it adds close to a 33% to your stack, if i was villain id be looking to 3bet any hands with good equity if the blinds find a hand, although making it a lot smaller size than our villaint did. If we did 4bet jam and call we have our 30% and can win a huge pot and in future not have to worry about this villain 3betting us in pos. If he's shown any predilection to 3bet/open light with his stack then i rly can't see me folding this. Very player dependant and its ok saying that there is better spots, but in a top heavy turbo the quicker we get to a huge stack the better as we can apply a load of pressure as villain is showing here, making us pha an AT open from LP off 28bb where a 4bet shove vs any hint of a decent agro player certainly yields a profit. At this level ($15 bi) if i chose (which i prob would given villain description) to not fold to the 3b id click 4b/call to get some hands he's calling 4bj to fold, and maybe he will peel fold/flop.

I wouldn't be opening much if he has shown tendancy to 3 bet you, as you are in a terrible icm spot Title: Re: 16.50 turbo, last 14 Post by: pleno1 on February 28, 2012, 09:31:51 AM PROTECT YOUR SOLDIERS!

Fold. Title: Re: 16.50 turbo, last 14 Post by: DMorgan on February 28, 2012, 01:28:55 PM Def not folding this if he's shown that he's a capable 3bettor
Title: Re: 16.50 turbo, last 14 Post by: muckthenuts on February 28, 2012, 01:37:14 PM This is co vs btn? Stacks sizes in the blinds def means his range is gonna be tighter and he would assume your range is tighter too. However we have the power of the Ace, never less than 30% equity when called unless he has AA, and he's already shown a propensity to 3bet so i think raising is better than folding. I wouldn't hate a fold though but it's a bit nitty i think here.
