Title: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on March 09, 2012, 11:38:48 PM I always look at the action at the weekend to see who has some decent prices on them and if I fancy them to win or not.
Everton (2/1) v Spurs - Spurs on a bad run and Everton are a good team, 2-1 is value. Brighton (4/5) v Pompey - Brighton on up, Pomey in crisis, can only see this going one way. Reading (6/5) v Leicester - Potential slip up here with how unpredictable Leicester are, but reading are on fire at the moment. Decent price. Sheff Wed (10/11) v Bournemouth - Wednesday (my team) are very good at home an dnew manager effect, I will not be betting on Wednesday, but 3rd at home to 11th at 10/11? Yes please. Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: maldini32 on March 09, 2012, 11:51:14 PM Yea I like everton too at that price.
Gl Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Rivertony on March 10, 2012, 01:01:02 AM Brighton very good price at 4/5 with Portsmouth in crisis and lost their captain to Cardiff to reduce the wage bill!!
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: ChipRich on March 10, 2012, 01:19:02 AM Yeah, like Brighton 4/5. Brighton -1 9/4 is deece too.
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Rivertony on March 10, 2012, 01:21:21 AM Don't think reading or everton are good value tbh, prices are big for valid reason imo!! Everton can't score for s**t
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on March 10, 2012, 01:26:57 AM Don't think reading or everton are good value tbh, prices are big for valid reason imo!! Everton can't score for s**t I'm sure Everton have been doing well pretty recently, not a bad side at home, deffo think it's value at 2/1 against a declining Spurs side. Not forgetting Saha, who will be unable to play. As for Reading, why not? Reading are bang on form and at home to a team who are well behind them in the league? 3rd v 10th (not sure on position) at 21/20, think that's pretty good! Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Rivertony on March 10, 2012, 02:48:32 AM Everton can't beat spurs IMO (hope they do as I'm an arsenal fan)!! They don't have a goal scorer and spurs have some much goal scoring threats (even without Saha) Defoe was bang in form midweek in FA cup!! If Everton get something from the game it will be a draw!
After what u said and having a look at championship/current form I now think reading is a good bet, for some reason I thought Leicester was doing well lol tbh premiership is more my league!! Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Rivertony on March 10, 2012, 02:49:15 AM What price is the draw? Everton v spurs!!
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Horneris on March 10, 2012, 04:06:01 AM Sadly I think Readings winning run will come to an end tomorrow. Leicester get up for the big games, beat Saints away and in Nugent and Beckford they have the strikers to pose Readings defence serious problems.
Like the others tho. Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: action man on March 10, 2012, 07:04:52 AM yeh I think this is a game the royals could slip up on
had a decent double brighton 4/5 sheff wed 10/11 and put millwall dnb 5/4 in there for a treble Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: action man on March 10, 2012, 07:31:25 AM oh and 10%

Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: anthonyl on March 10, 2012, 12:14:35 PM Stop bokking us :(
Lots of value but a few Reasons why A derby Teams come here for a point We have only won two of last six Asulin, Vicente, lua lua, noone, Buckley - usually only one of them start....! Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: bobby1 on March 10, 2012, 01:16:06 PM Personally I have never understood backing against teams just because they are in admin. I know they have let some players move on to get them off the wage bill but the squad that is playing today is the squad irrespective of what the squad was last week, or last month.
The players in the squad today are the same players that would be in the squad tomorrow if they came out of admin overnight. So the prices for the game aren't really affected because the club as a whole is in trouble, the playing staff is almost the same as their last few games where they have been beaten by 2 teams better than Brighton. I hope Brighton win for you all, my only bet is on Sheff Utd at a fraction under 2/1, decent reasons for the bad run at the moment. Get lots of cover in defence back today and Brentford let their top scorer sign for Crawley in the week. Only small tho, 90 minutes football is a minefield. The fact that Portsmouth have shortened dramatically on match day in both their games this week prob mean the punters are waiting to make sure they don't lose any more players before betting them at prices that have been compiled earlier in the week with an eye to the fact that they might lose some more players. Parker sandro modric and bale v Oman Drenthe Fellaini and Coleman, gl with that Everton!

I thought the price was big, but thought it would be score draw. Had the other 3 and a small priced favourite though :D Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Rivertony on March 10, 2012, 09:05:14 PM Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: bobby1 on March 11, 2012, 12:20:09 AM I hope Brighton win for you all, my only bet is on Sheff Utd at a fraction under 2/1, decent reasons for the bad run at the moment. Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on March 19, 2012, 12:29:38 PM I didn't see no value in one single bet at the weekend, so didn't post.
I think there are some decent prices for Tuesday's football: Brighton (4/5) v Derby Leeds (5/6) v Forest Crewe (EVS) v Bradford - VERY Good price Southend (4/5) v Aldershot Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: claypole on March 20, 2012, 01:20:23 AM Best price Crewe 11/10 VC, all others a shade of odds on
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Rivertony on March 20, 2012, 02:02:05 AM I didn't see no value in one single bet at the weekend, so didn't post. I think there are some decent prices for Tuesday's football: Brighton (4/5) v Derby Leeds (5/6) v Forest Crewe (EVS) v Bradford - VERY Good price Southend (4/5) v Aldershot Will have a punt on this seeing as you got 4/4 last time!! Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: anthonyl on March 20, 2012, 07:15:18 AM leeds 5/6 is decent, battered every team lately. not sure how we will react after going about 12 unbeaten before losing to Blackpool though.
slapped £20 on it anyways Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: claypole on March 20, 2012, 12:27:28 PM Been thru tonight's games - think these are decent picks mate. Challenge is how to bet them. If you ever do five folds always look at VC, money back up to £25 if you miss with one.
Four folds - Paddy either refund or pay if all winning at half time and bet doesn't win. Obv very small margin increase, however worth it if you bet at the £25 level in multiples Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Acidmouse on March 20, 2012, 12:34:28 PM When we beat forest away I was on huge leeds win, forest were the worst team I had seen in the division up until then. Only Southampton got more of a battering (but they seem destined to fluke there way up).
I will have a punt on leeds.. Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on March 20, 2012, 01:39:22 PM Also think bit of a nap in goals galore bets...
Chesterfield v Hudds Notts County v Sheff United Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: dean23price on March 20, 2012, 02:34:55 PM think torquay got an ok shout tonight at over 4/1, at swindon

Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on March 26, 2012, 07:57:21 AM I am not sure if anyone will agree with me here, but I think Sheffield United at home to Chesterfield is an absolute NAP and a decent price at 1/2 in some some bookies.
I'm not a big fan of betting on teams with small odds, because in the long run, there is always going to be one that is going to let you down every so often. But I still think 1/2 is a decent price and I will be severely backing them at this price. I also point out that I am a Sheff Wed fan, but Utd will cruise to victory here. Analysis: United have got their star player in Macdonald back and a few players back from suspensions, along with the fact the team won't be as jaded as Chesterfield's, who played on Sunday. 3rd at home to 24th, can't see there being an upset here. EASY MONEY. Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: FUN4FRASER on March 26, 2012, 12:52:24 PM didnt see this before...but Ive jus posted this elsewhere...so Agree with you Aaron
Been speaking to a couple of my fellow Sheffield contacts and they agree with me that Sheff Utd will destroy Chesterfield at home( especially after the Wembley comedown ). Im told Sheff Utd will be near full strength (no Chesterfield team news ) If you can get on the 8-15 at Hills its great value although a very short price (I actually think 1 -2 is still good) http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-one/sheffield-utd-v-chesterfield/winner Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on March 26, 2012, 12:58:09 PM didnt see this before...but Ive jus posted this elsewhere...so Agree with you Aaron Been speaking to a couple of my fellow Sheffield contacts and they agree with me that Sheff Utd will destroy Chesterfield at home( especially after the Wembley comedown ). Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: anthonyl on March 26, 2012, 06:52:51 PM thoughts on Leicester for promotion? 11/1 - I know Danns is now out suspended but looks like great value to me.
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: craigbetts on March 27, 2012, 11:49:35 AM Speculative punt tonight, Apoel at home to the mighty Real Madrid. If the Cypriots keep tight early doors I can see them putting in a good performance, to that end I am liking the draw at 4's and a small dabble on the home win. Mourinhio has already lit the touch paper by calling Apoel, Anorthosis whom he met in the same stadium a few years ago with Inter... Result that night, a draw. The crowd and the mentality of the players are key, these can disappear in a flash on the island of Fernadoes!

Not to me We have a lot of talent but nowhere near the consistency to get a real run together and make up a 5 point deficit with 8 games to go Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: FUN4FRASER on March 27, 2012, 04:34:24 PM Sheff Utd to beat Chesterfield tomorrow night...still 8 -15 value available at W Hills (4-9 , 2-5 elsewhere )
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Hairydude on March 27, 2012, 06:27:47 PM Prefer Bolton at 10/1 away to spurs than Apoel at 12/1... Bolton may still be galvanised by muamba and spurs have stagnated recently with 3 draws and 3 defeats out of last 7 games(the win was stevenage replay)
Have done a £1.65 double on both nonetheless!!! Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: craigbetts on March 27, 2012, 10:16:38 PM Speculative punt tonight, Apoel at home to the mighty Real Madrid. Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: anthonyl on April 03, 2012, 02:16:03 PM this w/e Hearts play Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi's a week on Sat but 4-5 of their best players all either carrying an injury or one yellow from a suspension.
will be playing a few youth teamers this Sat away to Dunfermline who are bottom of the league and haven't won all season but they've just brought a new manager in (ex Hearts boss). also near their rivals Hibs to go down - 4.6 on betfair. Also about evens for a 1 goal head start - Hearts got terrible away record too Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on April 09, 2012, 08:15:06 AM Apologies, haven't posted here for quite a few weeks, but seen some decent value for today!
Peterborough (13/8) v Forest - Not a definite, but highest placed team is at home and a decent price in my view. Carlisle (11/10) v Scunthorpe - This is the best price of the day. Carlisle are a fantastic home side against a average to borderline League One Side. Notts County (4/5) v Yeovil - Two teams in half decent form, but County at home with something to play for... Crewe (23/20) v Bristol Rovers - Again, home side are well above the away side and Rovers don't have anything to play for. Decent price. Port Vale (5/6) v Macclesfield - Vale don't have anything to play for, but Macclesfield are just tosh and are away. Let's remember that Vale haven't has anything to play for after 10 points taken away, but still have picked up some wins. MASSIVE PRICE. Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: Girgy85 on April 09, 2012, 12:51:59 PM I'm on Carlisle 6/5 and notts county 5/6 double £20 pays £80
Title: Re: Football value bets Post by: aaron1867 on May 11, 2012, 01:01:40 AM I haven't seen any value in quite a few weeks, but I see value for tomorrows fixture between Stevenage and Sheffield United (at Steveenage).
Stevenage (11/8) v Sheffield United Stevenage beat Sheffield United at home earlier in the season and also drew at Brammall Lane just a couple of weeks ago. Stevenage in great form, whilst Sheffield United simply aren't To add to this United haven't won since losing their best player (Ched Evans) and look very poor all over the pitch. They also have a few suspensions in the squad after James beattie got sent off at the weekend, whilst morale must be low after losing out to Wednesday at the weekend for second place. It's a half decent price and I will be backing it in tomorrow. Stevenage to win 3-1.
