Is anyone gathering names of those Blondites who will be attending the WSOP this year ?

It would be good to know who was playing when and try and hook up with a few people over there or to know who we are shouting for when we are at home.

I also believe that DC is doing Blonde t-shirts especially for this years WSOP. Any comments on this from anyone ?

I will be playing in two of the events. The $2000 NLHe on the 14th July and the $1500 NLHe on the 18th. A rather expensive way of celebrating my 40th birthday! After missing the bash it would be great to meet up with a few people in Vegas.

I'm intending to play 2/3 events, but haven't decided which ones yet.

I'm planning to play the 2nd event, but it's all dependent on when I can get hotel bookings for.

We will gather the blonde WSOP attendees in a thread nearer the time, but safe to say, there will be plenty of us there, & Brian Wilson has asked me to gather them all up so he can but them all a beer. Or two.

We will also look at having a "blonde" gathering place in the Rio, our own little corner, with internet access & stuff, so all the bondes can keep the peeps at home updated. Whatt you reckon?

Damn right. We need to know. You need a room in the main hotel as a 24 hour info centre.

The Rookie wins the opening event, & gets us a nice suite at The Rio.

Just out of curiosity how much do you guys think it would cost to just be there for 2 weeks?

I wont play any events (unless i can spawn a satellite seat) but would like it to be a nice hoiday and meet you guys and soak up the atmosphere,  would play a few small small tourneys or sit n go's

im hoping to go to the WSOP this year to play in a few events.  Mainly just for the experience as ive heard so much great thinks about it.    Would love to know how much the whole thing would cost for a few weeks too.

Hotels in Vegas are dirt cheap, providing you don't wanna stay at one of the big "names", & return fligfhts, if booked early, start at less than £500.

I have a plan to go over for a long time... maybe 3months, so i should be there! aslong as plans don't change!

Blonde was great last year at the wsop, this year i expect big things!

Great idea Tikay, its an ideal opportunity to show Blonde of to the rest of the world. I'm sure the Rookie will come thru in the first event and keep us in the style we all wish for...lol...... :D

If you are going the best hotel to go for is the Gold Coast as its cheap and close to the Rio...

we are staying at Caesers, I believe that it is close to the Rio ?

Vegas is quite small, its still a taxi ride though, especially in the summer!!

The Rio is off the strip so all the strip hotels are a taxi ride.

The hotels look like they are back to back on the map I have, I think I just havent got my head around how big these places really are !!

It's a taxi ANYWHERE in Vegas. Even from across the road to the Rio, you need a taxi. The scale of locations such as The Rio is such that you are never as near as you think. Taxis are cheap, & easy to get.

And the temperature in Vegas last July was 45c - that is HOT, so hot it takes your breath away, because the sun reflects off the ground, & even walking 100 yards is unbearable.

Tikay is correct. The day we flew home it was 45 degrees C. They even had warnings on TV for the old people not to go out for long periods of time. No wonder I only saw tikay indoors. :D

With this years event going on through August it will be ridiculously hot.

Do NOT underestimate the heat in Vegas, & it's a very dry heat, too. 45c is HOT. I kid you not.

Then, when you reach the sanctuary of the Hotels, & merciful shade, they have the aircon on SO cold that you need a jumper. But not one like Robert's. Please.

The wsop in 2006 will be the best party ever, and I will win another event w/out a doubt 8)

The first Blonde to bust someone out with  7c 4h should have all their drinks bought for them by the others. :D

I booked for a flying visit in march last week.  Virgin had a sale on, no sure if still on but cheapest direct flights Ive got in 10 years of going - only £300 which is a bargain and connecting flights are a 'mare

I plan to play the 1st two events. I will have the cash to buy stright in but if i win a couple of sats for these i will enter more. This of course if my bankroll dont take a big hit by then.

For anyone who's even average at cash games....

They are SOFT. THEE best value cash games are in Vegas. If you don't believe me ask Junior. I saw him make a grand in like an hour at $2-$5 NL I kid you not.

If you play well you can enter more events as the series moves on. That's what I did anyway.

Will there be sats for each tourney the day before in the Rio ?
Are there any intrenet sites that do sats for competitions outside the main event ?
