It's about 100 times more comfortable. Title: Re: flying scotsman Post by: leethefish on March 18, 2012, 10:30:37 AM Train.

Where are you going to? i live just outside elgin so have to get on train in kieth or elgin and travel to aberdeen or inverness, then change again in edinburgh or glasgow(try to avoid glasgow as it means changing station most of the time) journey to nottingham can mean one or 2 more changes, when ryanair flew into EMA from inverness it was so much easier Title: Re: flying scotsman Post by: The Camel on March 18, 2012, 10:49:35 AM weighing in all the pros and cons which way would you prefer to travell a medium to long journey inside the UK plane or train? it would be an easy plane for me if i could get flights to the airports of my choice Unless you are in a hurry, I'd pick the train. Yep, you are correct.......looks like there are 2 direct from Inverness/London, but the nearest stopping point is York FFS. Will be suprised if this has always been the case. I can recall being at Newark and seeing on the boards a train going up to Inverness....oh well never mind! |
