Title: Dirty Ew
Post by: action man on March 21, 2012, 11:25:57 AM
there are 3 races today which, if you can get laid in e/w multiples have got a great chance of turning the jolly over.

2.20 warwick  is a very desperate affair, and Kim bailey's horses are in flying form, and his horse could be a lot better than these, however at 9/2ish Orangeaday  has an extra half mile today and its pedigree is stacked with stamina
and doesn't have to do anything but stay the trip, which by all evidence known to us, will, in order to beat the rest into at least 2nd, and if the jolly doesnt perform have a great chance of turning it over. 9/2 4/6 i feel is too big a discrepancy.

3.40 Hereford looks a match on paper between alan kings Monturgeon, which ran very well behind
tetlami which ran a decent race in the supreme novice hurdle and hard to swallow
which took his chance (albeit disappointing) in the albert barttlet last week.
Im not too struck on the bare form of the Kempton 'jumpers bumper' race though as
the first 7 were seperated by about 7 lengths.

Oscar Sunset hasnt yet shown the form of the fav however did his job well over
2f further here last time out, with his trainer stating after his last win in november that
they would come back here for another novice hurdle. Its already shown it goes well
fresh when finishing 2nd to hard to swallow ^^ mentioned above, so a form line with
the favourite here. So once again looks an open goal to place at the very least.

5.35 Warwick

a low grade bumper to finish off at warwick, and alan king's gold ingot is pretty much
all the rage at 5/4 ish and its understandable after debuing 4/14 losing 9l to cheltenham bumper
hopeful royal guardsman at ascot with the 100/1 shot sammyman who was 5l 5th that day running a
great race next time he ran at warwick. However Warwick and Ascot are complete opposites
and in this race id prefer to be on call me april e/w after finishing 2nd here over CD last time
albeit in a much less competative bumper at 150/1!  Call me April and the winner drew 8l clear
that day and all being well i think we have an excellent shot at a place and if the jolly doesnt
take to the track or has an off day, we can capitalise.

Ive done an e/w trixie (8 bets).

Cheers Trigg ON!!

£5ew Trixie 3 winners gets me out of it for Cheltenham :D

Title: Re: Dirty Ew
Post by: George2Loose on March 21, 2012, 12:50:24 PM
Can someone explain £5 trixie? Is that to win or have you backed each horse e/w in an acca? If it is an e/w acca how much does that cost?

Title: Re: Dirty Ew
Post by: Christo! on March 21, 2012, 12:55:21 PM
Trixie is 3 doubles and a three fold so it costs 4 pts
If you do it e/w then its 8 bets as its 3 e/w doubles and 1 e/w three fold

So a £5 ew trixie is £40

Edit: thanks Girgy

Post by: Girgy85 on March 21, 2012, 12:56:52 PM
How can you have a four fold with 3 selections?

How about Global Fella in the 4.55 Haydock to make a nice ew yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?

(I think)

It's 1 treble and 3 doubles m8 so 4 bets and if you're doing it e/w as in this case 8 bets.

1-2-3

1-2

1-3

2-3

How about Global Fella in the 4.55 Haydock to make a nice ew yankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?

Surely has to be an e/w lucky 15 with a firm offering 3x odds one winner rather than a Yankee though?

Forum favourite Zafeen's Pearl is running in the 8.25 at Kempton. Currently 13/2 with hills.

Not ran for 135 days where i think a few of us were on her that day when she ran wide all race but finished off strong to get in the frame.

Running over 1m today where she has won 4 races. Wide draw which is a negative but should be a good ew bet.

Wonder what Eso Kral has heard as its one he follows.

meh these are very moderate often quirky animals at best. Just a shame once the favourite is out of the race on these type of bets

Title: Re: Dirty Ew
Post by: Ironside on March 21, 2012, 02:51:22 PM
i am thinking we are gtd one bet back if we got dbl odds on the single so i am only £14.5 down but got alot of bets left

Title: Re: Dirty Ew
Post by: EvilPie on March 21, 2012, 03:27:39 PM
Ew acca still alive then?

Yes but your potential winnings on the treble are slashed dramatically.

Also one of your doubles is alive if you had the trixie as well as the place part of your other 2 doubles (with slashed odds).

by my rough maths i must have nearly £3 coming back to me BONUS

Title: Re: Dirty Ew
Post by: millidonk on March 21, 2012, 04:12:56 PM
if first binked we would have an incred sweat now, had told myself if we binked was gonna buy a decent camera and a PS Vita. Never plan what to do with winnings, that is the sure fire way to bok yourself.

Can't knock these selections though!

did you watch the race girgy , i thought the jockey shane kelly gave the horse a shocking ride, came cruising from way back, sat motionless , took it up inside the last, he then spots george baker aboard the eventual winner rowing away and flying but all too late its collard on the line , unbelivable would no doubt 100% of won if he rides it out instead of just tryng to cruise home on it, imo a ban or big fine is what i think mr kelly deserves but i bet your bottom dollar there wont be a mention of it, i had £40 on it at 5/1 and feel totally robbed , i wonder how much more money was down because it was backed solidly all day as it was one  of hugh taylors (at the races) tips for the day !!!!

Funny, I was going to do it also, but when I saw Kelly on board, decided to swerve it. Just don't like/trust him.

PS thanks for the tips Trigg :)
