Title: delayed cbet
Post by: pleno1 on March 24, 2012, 09:31:03 PM
guy is a huge whale, very peely etc. its the 215 week. i dont want to bet flop as he will call ace high a decent % of time and even maybe like kq and dont really wanna barrel vs him with my stacksize. i decide to check ott as i expect him to bet river with ax and will call turn with k/q high hearts. on the river i bet to get jx, qx, kx to fold.

thoughts?

just c bet that board

dont dislike the play per se from a theoretical POV but not one I choose to make this early in an MTT - you are getting called by any pair

I think betting turn is better, because he MIGHT end up folding better on seeing the Ace and it creates us the opp to barrel further more credibly otr, but here there's just no way when he's closing the action and there's been no subsequent betting that he will be folding any pair combination that he has.
