Title: UKIPT staking
Post by: ACE2M on March 31, 2012, 10:42:44 AM
Seeing as everyone else is playing it i fancy a go to.

Just bought a house that i can't really afford so double skint at the min, hence request for full 100% .

Poker pedigree - I used to be a decent touney player (lots of online scores, 2 EPTs and won a lot playing live cash games) but i don't play much anymore and if i do its usually live £2-£2 or £5-£5 plo, although i did have a little run at tourneys a few months back but the time is the problem.
I'm smarter than your average donk but i'm probably a fair distance behind the curve of the railtards of this world.

The 70%-30% deabte rages on, i think i may have pioneered that particular staking plan on here? So to create a better value punt for the backers i'd like to get 100% staking for a 72% - 28% split :) on winnings after stake back.

Its a punt and you know it but all stakes greatfully received.

£77 for 10% so you can work out any % you may wish to pledge from that.

Flame away.......

Im trying to help you out here Sir .....

Ignoring the fact its a 72/28 % deal (which is fine considering ) there is a fundamental problem with your staking request which Im sure has contributed to the lack of interest .  Im just surprised nobody has pointed it out yet !

Who Are You   ?   :)

Tom,

The event is almost sold out, so you will need to make a decision very soon if you intend to play this.

If it helps, I will take a further 10%.

Let me know, please.

If you're prepared to put in £154 yourself why don't you drop the mark up to stimulate interest?

You need backers to put in £616 between them.

I assume you want to maintain 30% interest for yourself So you need to sell 70% for £616

70% is actually worth £539 so you need to sell at about 1.15 (616/539)

£77 at 1.15 is £88.55 (77 * 1.15). Round it off to £88 for 10% and you get:

Selling 70% at £88 (approx 1.15) per 10% gives you £616

You put the rest in yourself and have a much better chance of playing.

Just a suggestion.

Fair suggestion, cheers.

If anyone else wants to come in at that level i'll happily play on that basis and speak to current stakers who i would assume would be happy with it.

Do you only need to sell another 10% now?

£176 sent by Bank TX this morning, for which I hold Matt Interfering Russell wholly liable.
