Startling news today from William Hill.

SKY TV have snapped up the William Hill Grand Prix, & Heat 1 will be shown NEXT TUESDAY at 10pm, in a 2 hour show.

The first Heat features the David Icke-alike Plil Laak, and an all star cast.

All the Heats, Semi-Final, & Final, will be shown on Sky, every Tuesday, 10pm.

By all accounts, this event is a must-see.

It had been announced that it would first be shown on Poker 425, starting this Friday, but that has now been CANCELLED, although I fancy it may be transmitted on 425 later in the year.

The William Hill Grand Prix featured a whole host of blondeites, including Brian "The Rookie" Wlson, The Boy Thewy, Monty Burns, Mr Cool, Greg Junior Hill, Smokin Steve, Bad Girl, At-It Bradley, and many others.

Commentary is also blonde dominated, with Jesse May in the hot seat, ably assisted by Lucy Rokach.

Forget Deal or No Deal, forget Celeb Big Bore-ther, watch The Gods of Poker!

1st heat next tuesday on Sky Sports 2 - this may change in future weeks & appear on Sky Sports 1 or 3, depending on Sky's schedules.

OK, OK, I did my full-on Spam, & forgot which Channel.....

Next week's Heat will be on SKY SPORTS 2, though I believe it will hop around over the weeks between the various Sky Sports Channels, in that mysterious way that Sky programmes do.

For some unknown reason my sky system is not tuned into 425.. I don't understand why as I have the full monty...really annoying

Thanks Red.. Then what..Find Channels?.. if so I have tried it but no joy..we get the 425 station but it freezes / crackles //cant see piccy...just loads crackles..

Have you tried turning it off at the wall and on again?  Usually sorts things out.  You could call Sky too, they are usually pretty good and do stuff straight away.

Dont you need to know the frequencies and other settings when adding channels?

Having been at the tournement for the full week... thanks again will hill boys! It really did deserve to get aired on a major channel, i also hope that it does get repeated again and a again! I like my TV time lol!

As I had a vested interest in this event I am bound to say what a great tournament this is but you must try to tune into this event. The structure was very good and this led to some very good poker, this is proper poker, not huge blinds and all in every other hand, good solid bluff and counter bluff stuff. Its Late Night Poker but sexier(that was Vicky Coren,not me), the players are a nice mix between experienced pro's and top class newcomers and you must watch out in heat two for one of the biggest tells I have ever seen......and from one of the top players too.

There are some great performances from forum contributors too and as At It said it will be great to see all the cards from the big hands. Presentable and William Hill have made the best poker show for a long time.....don't miss it!!

It was good fun, one of my best mates lives in leeds now so i have been down a few times! only once for poker... Maybe i should leave it at that! 1 from 1, finals that is!

They eventually caught me bluffin! the one in feb sounds good... Nothing else is on i don't think so it seems like a plan!

Great news, i was there watching for a weekend and the set looked fantastic.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the first heat, it will be worth watching. look out for the unibomber targetting steve jellinek with his table talk, everytime steve jelinek puts chips in the middle, Laak shouts steeeeeeeve are you sure you mean to do that ... its very funny.
