A rather unusual show this week.

The first 30 minutes - the entire first half - is a recording of the William Hill Poker Awards from Paris, with a tie-less Dave Compton doing his Terry Wogan thing from The Aviation Club de Paris.

We see all the various nominations & winners, including little sound-bites from Rob Hollink, Micky Wernick, & Dave Colclough, the last-named in a rather fetching poofty coloured blondepoker silk shirt.

Micky Wernick, after not putting a foot wrong all season, makes a quite startling appearance.

And it ends with a fascinating speech from Nic Szeremeta.

Part Two we do a bit of the usual studio blathering, with results fom Southend, Paris, & Ireland all briefly covered.

The bllonde Bash is not "officially" covered until next week, when the filmed footage will be aired. But I do manage to squeeze in 3 or 4 minutes of chat about it, including glowing references to the blonde Comp, Quiz & Heads-Up Winners, & brief thanks to the various organisers, & The Broadway. But next week you get the full blonde Bash stuff, although I will not be in the chair, as it's my "week off", & Mr Giddens wll be in charge. Assuming he shows up.......

Looking forward to it.  The last episode was the outtakes wasnt it?  I've lost weeks here and there recently

I only have NTL and so will have to get someone else to record it for me.

I dont think you can. Someone mentioned about getting a copy of something for The Rookie and sending it to the US so perhaps you could get a copy of that.  There are clips on the poker 425 website www.poker425.com

Why not ask the Poker 425 bosses to host them on their website too - nothing special but maybe give forum members access to download a weeks episode?

The Poker 425 Webstre does host some clips from the show, but I believe they are only little 1 minute clip-lets. I assume there are commercial or technical reasons for this.

I have to confess ...........Dan and I were at it .........the quiz i mean............................WE CHEATED ON A COUPLE..........And phoned the missus, However she knew less than we did, so it wasn't cheating after all........phew i feel better now.

I'm afraid i didn't meet that many blondes, but the one's i did were very friendly and i'm hoping to meet lot's more at the next one.

No problemo dik, but the Girlies were being all innocent abouit Sarah, claiming they did not know how good she was. She could give even the great Rob Yong a good Heads-Up match, she's a bit special. And with Jen (legitimately) in their Team too, and she is VERY handy, they were sure in good shape!

forget about the cheating, its when we (the scots) turned around to see John laying down on the floor along the edge of the seats, trying to compare his body length to that of a hockey goal width that had us in stitches

Just take your punishment. I ain't even mentioned the rigged draw yet, which mysteriously "changed" after it was drawn.....

Careful, I got the proof.

OK let's think about the facts. You declared one team but changed it just before the comp, no problem there. However you started the Comp with 5 named players, who all played in the Semi Final but one failed to stay for the final. Perhaps her match ought to have been forfeit but big hearted me let you bring in a pasiing substitute who, it seems, turns out to be a ringer who (a) wasn't in the earlier rounds (b) wasn't in the main comp and (c) wasn't, and still isn't a member.

Want any more help before the promoter's verdict?
