Post by: MahoganyVic on April 05, 2012, 11:13:36 AM

10 days = £25
20 days = £100
30 days = £250

Anyone else fancy having a pop, or posting any tips please join in :)

Bet Day 1
Delhi Daredevils £100 @ 2.36

Managed to get Delhi to hit most sixes at 2.3 so have greened out the win bet.
If Gambhir and/or Kallis bat for long that should mean a low six total for KKR.

Snap.
Luckily the sixes bet was void because it wasn't a full game. :)

Betfair but Hills should do the same.

If anyone's looking to get £100 on risk free, you can back Kings XI at 1.91 on Betfred (and others) and lay them at 1.82 on Betfair.

A combination of Sehwag with his usual first shot slog golden duck, and the spinners bogging Delhi down in the mid overs means another loser!

Profit/Loss so far: -£68.85

Title: Re: IPL Challenge

Bet Day 4
Kings XI £100 @ 2.02

GL with this.

Thanks, looks like I need it! Another loser yesterday. Seems I have underrated Pune a bit.

Profit/Loss -£168.85

Bet Day 5
Mumbai Indians £100 @ 1.51

Was hoping to get a slightly bigger price, but can't see Mumbai being as bad as they were vs Pune

Amazing finish, Mumbai hit a 6 on the last ball to win having needed 18 from last over.

Stein bowled amazing for Deccan.

Profit/Loss -£120.04

Steyn is defo one of the best Bowlers around, he didn't deserve to be in the losing side today.

If you want an arb to cover your £100 tomorrow, you can back Chennai @ 1.91 on StanJames and lay them @ 1.83 on Betfair.

Cheers, can't get more than a few quid on at Stans though!

Start delayed in first match, so managed to get a bet down despite oversleeping :)

Bet Day 6
Bangalore £100 @ 1.73

That looked like a dive by Harshal Patel to me - I don't think anyone touched him.

Delhi have a strengthened team with Pieterson and Jayawadene back, but Chennai should be too good for them imo. Evens is fairly huge right now on Chennai.

Edit: LOL, first ball run-out around 3 seconds after I posted this. Not deleting my pre-match thoughts though :) Chennai 0-1

Edit x2: 4 run outs just not good enough from Chennai, shambles, bet over, Pieterson and Jayawardene taking it home, hope no-one got on it besides me.

Taking an absolute hammering so far. Could barely have been more wrong with every game. Most of the losses have been absolute hammerings, and the two wins were a rain-shortened game, and a last ball 6!

Anyway, onwards and upwards!

Profit/Loss -£268.85

Day 7 Bet
Mumbai Indians £100 @ 1.61

Mumbai looked good against Deccan, apart from when they faced Stein! I reckon they will be too strong for the Royals

Title: Re: IPL Challenge
Post by: MahoganyVic on April 12, 2012, 10:36:23 AM
Missed the game yesterday so not sure how it unfolded, but it was a long overdue winner!

Profit/Loss -£218.47

Day 8 Bet
Bangalore £100 @ 2.04

Both of these teams have not really got going so far. Was expecting Bangalore to be slight favourites, so have had to take them at just over evens!

Title: Re: IPL Challenge
Post by: MahoganyVic on April 12, 2012, 07:02:25 PM
Ridiculous loss there.   No-ball 4 during the last over, and they smash another four to win it from last ball

Title: Re: IPL Challenge

Tomorrow mornings game looks to have thrown up a decent bet.
Fifty to be scored-NO 5/2 with Hills
3 of the 5 Games on this pitch and 2 of the last 3 nobody has got a half century, seems a bit Big to me.

Genius! I was willing for a four from him to win it so he gets the 50, still reckon its the best finish I have seen by one batsmen in that scenario!

Really like under 12.5 sixes in the Delhi game, although it's played at altitude the ground in the past2 games hasn't seen many hit with both a very high and low score posted.
Peterson also ain't playing and both sides don't have too many big hitters.

Was there any reasoning given for him being dropped? Ridiculous decision

I think the "reasoning" went something like this.

Irfan Pathan was injured and they felt that they needed an all-rounder to replace him to retain the balance of the side. Andre Russell was the only available option. They decided that they needed Jayawardene, Warner and Taylor in the side therefore Morkel had to miss out because of the limit of four foreign players.
An awful decision, I think.

Title: Re: IPL Challenge
Post by: MahoganyVic on May 25, 2012, 09:02:13 PM
The whole thing seemed dodgy.  Should they not have batted first when won the toss? Sehwag coming in at 3. Sehwag also seemed to put in zero effort with a catch that came over his shoulder towards the end of the innings. Whole thing seemed a bit dodgy!
