Title: Saturday Football Value? Post by: a.sparrow on April 12, 2012, 09:16:05 PM Hi guys,
There was mention of Swansea and Burnley being good bets this weekend in the tips for tikay thread and I was looking through the card and may have found 3 decent shots away from home. What do you think? forest vs BLACKPOOL - blackpool at 2.90. Blackpool drew this weekend 1-1 vs Barnsely whilst going down to 10 men early and going behind 1-0. In their previous 5 games to that they were in decent form only losing once, away at reading, drawing and winning the other 4, impressive home victory over southampton winning 3-0, beating Brighton 3-1, drawing 3-3 with leciester and beating watford away 2-0. Forest are playing better lately only losing once in their last 6, including a 7-3 thumping win over leeds. Despite this I feel blackpool have the better squad and will want to keep their spot in the playoff places and keep momentum up for the run in to get promoted. They've got a home record of W5 D4 L12 vs Blackpools away record of W7 D6 L8. Next up I like preston vs HUDDERSFIELD - Hudders @ 2.25. Hudders will want to keep up the momentum for the playoff run in just like blackpool. They've lost 3 of their last 6 and won 3. Preston have draw 4 and lost 2 in their last 6. They have been pretty solid of late, but with nothing to play for I think hudders will have the imputus in this game. Finally Macclesfield vs CREWE - Crewe @ 2.10. Crewe sit just outside the players on goal differece and will be firing on all cylinders to win and get into the play offs. THey have a decent away record of W9 D4 L8 vs a poor macclesfield fighting to get out of the relegation zone W5 at home D10 and L6. Macclesfield have lost 5 of their last 6, and drawn once. Whereas Crewe have won 4 of their last 6 and drawn 2. This includes a home win over Swindon, an away draw at crawley and most recently a 3-0 home win over bristol rovers. What do you guys think? Decent bets or teams to avoid? Title: Re: Saturday Football Value? Post by: horseplayer on April 12, 2012, 11:06:07 PM blackpool look priced about right to me
by all accounts huddersfield were awful at the weekend but of course could win crewe are in very good form but having such a young squad (even more so than usual) will always be prone to a complete shocker having said that macc are awful.. Made the thread more to ask for people opinions on the games I was thinking of getting on rather than tipping them. |
