Title: 66BB's with a guy older than me and another older than him! Post by: Eso Kral on April 16, 2012, 03:29:31 PM UKIPT Notts
40 mins left of final level of the day with blinds 600/1200/100 Average Stack 68k I have only been at the table for 1 level and came with 1/2 average and have since doubled and then hero'd villain1 to get to 80k but have opened a fair amount and probs have the worst image on the table but Villain 2 wont know this, Villain 2 has been on the table for 20 mins and was short stacked but has jammed a couple of flops/turns having cold called from the blinds winning both without showdown. Villain 1 is mid forties in sportswear, a cap and 100k Villain 2 is Asian in a shirt and tie and in his 50's/60's (sorry sir if u read here and you are 50!) and 41.5k We open to 2400 with Aspades Kc from the H/J and Villain1 insta 3b's to 7100 from the C/O, it folds to Villain 2 in the BB who looks at his cards before shoving for 41.5k total. WWYD and Why? Title: Re: 66BB's with a guy older than me and another older than him! Post by: WPIL on April 16, 2012, 03:41:15 PM Based on their Ages, I guess I am folding my Ace High (in the cold light of day) although I would try to get some sotrt of read on Villian 1 (as I am worried about him not so much Villian 2 who could still be in shove mode)

Think situations like this are really impossible to give accurate opinions on when not actually there. I'm not taking too much notice of villian 1 given your dynamic and also positions/3bet size. If he's managed to find a K and a K or better then good luck to him, we'll just have to hit a run. I think you just have to focus on villain 2 and try and profile him at the table. Where is he from, do you think he satellited in? You see some people do crazy shit with ~25bb in >1 day tournies so that they feel the £70 they spend on a hotel is more warrented or they don't want to spend 2 hours driving back to sit and grind a bowl. Did he snap jam? Does he look concerned that you being the original raiser are considering going in, does he look confident, or overly confident??? Post by: Eso Kral on April 25, 2012, 02:25:33 PM Re-shove and play for stax I re-shoved and the 3bettor tanked for ages and kept saying "you have Aces, you have Aces" and then folded Kings face up.The smart Asian guy had reshoved with "The Beltons" (Queens) and we didnt do a get there unfortunately :( Still think it's close to a fold due to age of villains and whilst trying not to be results orientated we defo bag up for day 2 in this instance. |
