Dude it is very possible that by checking twice you won the maximum you possibly could against the specific hand that villain happened to have this particular time. But your line is still really bad (sorry but it is). Why would you ever want no money at all to go into this pot before the river?

Can you get more? Well start by betting at some stage before the river! The flop for example.

LOL I know, I Know - sometimes when I hit a flop and think that his range (everything that does not contain A X) I have to get super passive to let him get some money in for me first and then the turn card is probably v bad for me as he is just going to insta fold - one for more of a player read this one (Agressive, Tight etc) - no reads of course

always bet the flop. 

at least bet the turn. a fish would probably float the turn with k high once the board pairs. its rainbow.

he'll also float straight draws and gutshots if he thinks you have air too.

my thinking is that many aces may have 3 bet pre.... but you want to build a pot. bet the flop as if he calls you can value him in by the river playing a shorter stack.

I think people have a bit of a stress when they have really good hands about being as trappy as possible, whereas the strategy has some merit (letting your man hit some sort of hand etc) you will never go wrong just BETTING when you have a good hand without a really really good reason to otherwise, your only reason here I think is that you don't want him to fold which isn't quite good enough for me.

Also, once he bets the river and you raise he NEVER CALLS because your hand throughout has looked like it has showdown value, so unusual for you to bluff with it when it was strong enough to chk the turn with but now it's too weak to call? If you had air you'd bet the flop as it's ACE high and nice to c-bet IP with the betting lead. So the maximum you'll get taking this line is 1 street, you could bet flop and turn and he might very feasibly look you up with 1pair (smaller than and ACE, or maybe 78 or something) so I think this line actually restricts the potential for value more than anything else.

Not to mention you have a full house and there is the same money in on the turn as there was pre-flop! norrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Firstly you may have got the max this time but it prob was not the correct play. Betting the turn then a slightly larger river bet at least to build a pot when you have a good hand is necessary to counter more marginal situations.
