Title: MTT spot 5 handed with AT suited
Post by: cambridgealex on April 19, 2012, 01:33:03 PM
$11 6max FT, just started, so no dynamic really. I have 27bigs, utg opener has about 40, others all between 25-40 except bb who has 15.

I folded fwiw, but it seemed close, maybe AJ is the line? What would you do?

I appreciate you are using the word "dynamic" - but you must have reads on at least 2 players and tbh - when down to final 2 tables of an MTT (assuming you arent in a tonne) you should have both tables up - so there might be no dynamic but you are aware of player tendancies

yeh tbh this is an area I'm weak on - I play lots of tables, and my hud doesnt work with pokerstars yet for some reason, so I barely have "reads" on anyone. when I get deep in a comp I make it bigger than the others and focus on it a lot more.

Don't see how can we really do anything other than fold.

Villain is a good reg fwiw, and ok we might be ahead of his range a little, but not sufficiently, plus opener is a factor, and ICM too obv.

Thinner.

Like I said, I probably fold. 3-bet folding is fine too (good hand to do it with as it's not profitable to peel and we aren't 3-bet/calling).

Fold or 3b/fold both fine

34785/fold

As a general no reads 5 handed ft here, I am slightly more inclined to make it 34200 then fold.

What would be really marginal is whether to call OTMs cold 4b or fold.  Looks insanely close, i may fold for icm/stack preservation at a guess

It's 5 handed, which hasn't been pointed out, and he's opening from a 40bb stack with only the BB <25bb. Don't know how flat pay outs are either

31-35k/fold is what i'd do

Readless 3b/c 99+ AQ
