Title: Excel Help Post by: JK on April 28, 2012, 10:19:05 PM Im fairly decent with excel, understand basic cell formulas etc, but need a bit of helping working one out.
Basically Im running a league system, but have to manually input the points into Excel. Obviously this means that I have to manually re-arrange everybody and its a pain in the arse. Is there any formula I can input to make it do this automatically? The cells look like this: Position Player Name League Points Percentage Starting Stack All I want is for if value of points of position 2 < position 3, for player names and points to switch. Pretty lost as to what Id have to input tbh. Cheers guys. FMP - i obviously havent figured it out properly don't know what version you are using, but the latest has a "sort and filter" icon. If you click on this and click "custom sort", the whole table gets highlighted and you can pick the column that you want to sort. Title: Re: Excel Help Post by: Machka on April 29, 2012, 06:42:21 PM Or just click on the Filter icon, looks like a funnel, or you'll find it in Data --> Filter
Then you can sort by any column by clicking the heading and clicking Sort Largest to Smallest. Title: Re: Excel Help Post by: JK on April 30, 2012, 09:20:26 AM Yeah works pretty awesome. For instance I highlight the first player name and points down to the bottom, then do custom sort. This lets me sort by player name or by points. Pretty awesome feature.
Felt pretty stupid tbh lol |
