Are people failing to realize that despite knowing someone's hole cards you could put the maximum pressure on people and they may still call with their 3/4th pair...?

I can see some Darvin Moon type just spazzing one time you set him all in when he has 1010 on AK9 or something silly... and he just goes "well if you've got it son, you've got it....." and pressed teh call button!

Really? Lets play HU, you can have access to my internal monologue and i'll have access to your hole cards and we'll see how we each do! You'll quickly learn that I think the valet is hot, and will realise I get back pain playing poker sometimes in the meantime I'll every pot when you can't beat K high :P

It's less about being able to bluff people of pots like when they have TT, you can see they have TT and just not play the hand, you can win every pre-flop hand where someone isn't dealt anything good and as long as people dont flop pairs you'll prolly take the majority of post-flop hands down.

You could certainly apply the pressure but i'm not sure how long we'd get away with it. Some people will eventually realise you've never been to showdown and start playing back. And even though we can see they've put us in with a crap hand we can't call them as we can't win at showdown. I know you stipulated they'd never catch on. I assume they're not catching on to us being able to see cards. Most players will catch on to someone bullying a table.

And there'll be times when the rest of the table is just getting dealt hands and there's not much you can do.

And there's all the cold deck scenarios such as when we might get AA v KK that we can't get any value from.

Wiiiii, I play live poker like L'il Dave (but without the back issues).

Play back how? Start re-bluffing? Calling more? that's fine they cant do it everytime, if they start taking 40% of the pots from us we;re still chipping up! We can even start playing tight, there is literally no way they can beat us.

As for Coolers we'll never be in one cos we'll never have the best hand, so either we're dealt two blank cards every hand or if we have AA it means someone will make a better hand at some point, in which case if we get dealt anything better than K - high we should open muck it,

You would be very suprised how easy people fold  Td Th when you tell em you know what they have. Try it live sometime and they even fold face up :)

just go for the bluffcall on the river

I think you are all overestimating your opponents in the main event.

The chances you make the final are way lower than 100%.

You only have be wrong once with an allin and you're out.

playing in vegas last time, it's folded to me in the HiJack, I open to $300 with Td Th Scott Siever calls on the button, both blinds fold. He says to me "ha! Pocket tens, and winks"

yh going all in ever would be stupid, unless perhaps it's folded to us in the CO and the rest of the players all have like T6, Q4 etc and much shorter stacks than us. Going all in where you can be called would be a bad plan regardless of the cards.

This is the one and only time I've met him but he came across from table behavior and very brief chat after the game as a very very nice guy, and he is as far as I can see excellent at poker :)

yh, and when people have stuff like 56s or 44 we can just open and win the pot 99% when it comes AQ3 or 99J etc

You should be able to get heads-up and get a big chip lead. Once there negotiate deal where you dont actually play it out but give him a Million or two extra so that you can take the title.

Yeah, that's the point. A lot of time we can earn chips in tournaments by cold decking someone. In this scenario we have lost this method of chip gathering which makes life harder for ourselves.

I still don't think this would be as easy as some are making out.

The worry you have with the sunglasses is that some busybody gets suspiscious and wants to try them on. The technology must exist for magic contact lenses or magic laser surgery. Wow magic laser surgey. If I had magic laser surgey and could see everybody's cards I wouldn't play poker because it's not ethical to take advantage of people. Wouldn't sit comfortable with me.

Just figured it out! Mantis already owns a pair of these sunglasses and is trying to divert attention from the idea!
