98 of 103 made it through Day 1 of the main event

There were 103 players who began this tournament on Day 1, and most of them survived -- unofficially, there are 98 players remaining. However, registration remains open until the beginning of Day 3, so that number will grow.

Yes, you can start this tournament on Day 3. The blinds on Day 3 will be 800-1,600 (200 ante), so a starting stack of 100,000 will still be worth 62.5 big blinds.

Steve O'Dwyer is the unofficial chipleader with 231,750

Full chip counts of those 98 are at http://www.worldpokertour.com/Live_Updates/Full_Chipcount_Ranking_List.aspx?q=

A host of big names of course

British players

James Dempsey 85,000

Flushy reported that he had JJ v 33 v KK on J-4-3 Kings called all the way to the river, spiked a King, but v-bet only a 1/4 of the pot at that point...

Perrins, Cody, JP Kelly and Trickett are all from their twitter feeds due to play today

Dubai too, I assume

gl all

ul with it, hope crab takes it down.

I am coming from the view of never really having your whole stack on the line, not even thinking about how creative and enjoyable it could get so deep with the ability to put in 5 bet bluffs and the sort.

Way too used to playing turbos.

Gl in the next one wherever you are playing.

19 left overnight, 18 paid

Day 4 of the World Poker Tour World Championship ended with the $40,266 money bubble still intact – with 18 players paid, 19 remain in contention overnight as we head into Day 5 after it was decided not to play through the night to burst the bubble.
Hafiz Khan leads the way with a stack of 1,966,000 closely followed by PartyPoker’s latest pro, Marvin Rettenmaier. Also still in contention for the $1,196,858 first prize are both Nick and Barry Schulman, Michael Mizrachi, Steve O’Dwyer, Joe Serock and Josh Arieh.

While all put one player is guaranteed $40,266, those who make the final table will have locked up $155,571 with the winner taking home over a million dollars.

The players have bagged up their chips and now have nearly two days to relax and rest up before the WPT World Championship final table on Saturday.

Marvin Rettenmaier (pictured above) will be sleeping easy tonight and tomorrow, as he holds a gigantic chip lead headed into final table play. Rettenmaier leads the pack with 6,715,000 while his next closest competitor, Michael Mizrachi, has less than half that amount with 2,560,000. Mizachi is still dangerous though and a third WPT title is certainly well within his grasp.

Nick Schulman is looking for his second WPT title on Saturday, while Steve O'Dwyer will making his third WPT final table appearance. Trevor Pope and short stack Philippe Ktorza round out the lineup for the final WPT event of the year.

There will be no action on Friday as the Super High Roller plays down to a winner.

The World Championship final table will get underway at 4pm PT on Saturday. Live streaming of the event, complete with hole cards and commentary from Tony Dunst and Dan O'Brien begins at 4:30pm.

Here are the chip counts and seat assignments for Saturday's final table. When play resumes, there will be an hour of action at 30,000-60,000 ante 5,000:

Seat 1:  Michael Mizrachi  -  2,560,000  (43 BBs)
Seat 2:  Marvin Rettenmaier  -  6,715,000  (112 BBs)
Seat 3:  Steve O'Dwyer  -  2,035,000  (34 BBs)
Seat 4:  Nick Schulman  -  1,555,000  (26 BBs)
Seat 5:  Trevor Pope  -  1,480,000  (25 BBs)
Seat 6:  Philippe Ktorza  -  895,000  (15 BBs)

The field of 27 (who bought in for a total of 34 times) has been whittled down to a six-handed final table at the WPT $100,000 Super High Roller event, with Daniel Perper leading the way just ahead of Andrew Robl. Despite the reduction in field size, players resume six-handed play tomorrow on the money bubble.
One of the six will be walking away with nothing while the rest of the players will be guaranteed $263,160 and the winner will take home $1,308,405. Currently Bill Klein is by far the shortest stack and will have work to do to avoid the bubble.

Also at the final table are Tom Marchese, John Juanda – no stranger to high roller finals – and Justin Bonomo, who will be hoping to mirror his EPT Super High Roller success at this final table today.

1 Daniel Perper 3,415,000
2 Andrew Robl 3,355,000
3 Tom Marchese 2,235,000
4 Justin Bonomo 2,105,000
5 John Juanda 1,875,000
6 Bill Klein 620,000
