Title: Olympic torch on Ebay
Post by: Delboy on May 19, 2012, 06:00:33 PM
That didn't take long...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/London-2012-Olympic-Torch-/330735585904#ht_500wt_1213

good to see the Olympic ethos is strong in the torch bearers who have done so much for their communities!!!!.

If you had been picked as a torch bearer would you sell it? if so what would your reserve be?

I would like to think I wouldn't sell it,but i guess we all have a price? Mine would have to be considerably more than £3k

I'd say that trying to get as much money as you can for something is completely in tune with the ethos of London 2012.

bidding currently at £153, 800. I love auctions like that

it's a bit cheeky to ask for £25 postage when someone's spending that much

I'm out - £140,000 was my absolute limit.

Pretty gobsmacked at the amount to be fair, I would have guessed it would go for maybe 10% of that.

It seems the seller has pulled it from the auction.

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."
