Title: John Terry Post by: david3103 on May 19, 2012, 10:35:05 PM Bad enough that he's on the pitch, but in full kit?
No shame at all. Oh, yeah, well done Chelsea I guess, but beating Bayern with late goals is so last century Title: Re: John Terry Post by: Alverton on May 19, 2012, 10:43:43 PM Quite possibly the worse team to have won Champions league in my lifetime.

RIP football. From a very bitter spurs fan. It's an incredible story, in all seriousness, but still gutting Title: Re: John Terry Post by: horseplayer on May 19, 2012, 10:58:39 PM Quite possibly the worse team to have won Champions league in my lifetime. Ashley Cole, immense Cech immense, the save of the Schweinsteiger pen, wow Many worse teams have lifted big trophies Title: Re: John Terry Post by: nirvana on May 19, 2012, 11:04:58 PM Cue kids teams up and down the country playing the Chelsea way, putting ten men behind the ball and hoping to get lucky. RIP football. From a very bitter spurs fan. It's an incredible story, in all seriousness, but still gutting tbf, Spurs had a really great year, everyone says so Chelsea have just lost the last 300 mins of Champs League football about 96-1 on style points but they won it all - kinda admire that. Really glad Terry's champs league final experiences are missing a pen and then missing the whole final - I can't even support England in the Euro's with him in the team. Title: Re: John Terry Post by: AndrewT on May 19, 2012, 11:06:21 PM Pretty sick to think that no country (let alone club) has retained the European Cup in 22 years, considering there are only really 4 countries that can win it.

Ashley Cole, immense Cech immense, the save of the Schweinsteiger pen, wow Many worse teams have lifted big trophies And Didier Drogba. What a player. Get your chequebook out Roman. If he leaves it will be a travesty. Didier feckin Drogba. Immense against Barca and immense again tonight. Title: Re: John Terry Post by: smashedagain on May 19, 2012, 11:08:26 PM That man Drogba had big balls on the last penalty but the way cole tucked his into the side netting was perfection. I can forgive these two for their imperfections but just cant bring myself to have any but contempt for Terry.
If he is a hero in the euros then I may let him off :) Title: Re: John Terry Post by: scotty2hatty on May 19, 2012, 11:09:56 PM Cech immense, the save of the Schweinsteiger pen, wow Did he get 'tips to it? Unless you mean the Olic pen save which was vv good. Title: Re: John Terry Post by: nirvana on May 19, 2012, 11:10:33 PM Thought Lampard was pretty outstanding too
Title: Re: John Terry Post by: horseplayer on May 19, 2012, 11:10:56 PM if terry lifts the cup for england i still will not cheer him vile man

Title: Re: John Terry Post by: Tal on May 19, 2012, 11:24:39 PM Drogba has produced moments of complete genius in the last few months - the goal against spurs in the FA Cup was sensational- and the equaliser tonight was as good as it gets.
However, it's most definitely not the result I wanted... Why couldn't Drogba have had a bad game?! Chelsea have somehow managed to use their One Time cards without wearing them out. If I can borrow that for two weeks in Vegas, I might forgive them. Apart from Terry, obv Title: Re: John Terry Post by: railtard1 on May 19, 2012, 11:29:38 PM As as chelsea fan for my entire life, that is the single greatest night of my life.
People seem to just be complaining about how "lucky" we were and how "ugly" and "boring" how football is... BUT, i would much rather my team play boring and be lucky and win trophies than play good football like arsenal have this season and win nothing or like blackpool did last season and go down. We had a game plan, we stuck to it, we had some luck but ultimately, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS 2012 oioioiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Title: Re: John Terry Post by: smashedagain on May 19, 2012, 11:36:12 PM As as chelsea fan for my entire life, that is the single greatest night of my life. Never liked Chelsea but when him, Drogba and Lampard were embracing on the pitch it brought a tear to my eye. 3 legends of the premiership who deserve this for all they have put in for the last decade. Title: Re: John Terry Post by: Horneris on May 19, 2012, 11:38:20 PM How com is Gary Neville now too.
Pretty sure just as it finished he said "Angels, heavens, gods, this is destinyyyyy". "English football will never get any better than this. May 19th 2012, FIFA, UEFA, Stop Footballlllll" He always holds the last word in a hilare way too for no reason. Hes such an enthusiast. Loves the game as much as me. as i have stated before having met john terry twice (unfourtantley) there is not a more vile man around. Title: Re: John Terry Post by: SuuPRlim on May 20, 2012, 12:02:01 AM I know drogba is really tilting with the relentless falling over, but the thing about true top quality world class players is they can always deliver in the big moments.
As he proves tonight, even at 34. I guess if that's his last game in a chelsea shirt it will a wonderful way to leave. Title: Re: John Terry Post by: BulldozerD on May 20, 2012, 12:13:03 AM There's nothing wrong with being 34

Look, we're not big fans of John Terry. There are very many reasons why, and there are plenty that disagree. However, the sight of him - in full kit no less - looning it up at the final whistle was unseemly at best. Chelsea won the Champions League in spite of him, not because of him. They won the semi-final against Barcelona after his utterly brainless knee on Alexis Sanchez, leaving his side with ten men to play one of the great sides of this generation, and also thus depriving the team of, in theory, their best defender. Yes, he played in the earlier rounds and thus contributed to this success, but not to the crucial stages. Not when his team should have been looking to him. Being a leader is not just about shouting at your players and telling them what to do. A title like that demands something approaching dignity and responsibility for his teammates. If he really was a leader and a legend, as the banner at Stamford Bridge proclaims, he would have been available to start this game. Roy Keane was embarrassed at the 1999 final. He didn't strip off to reveal a number 16 shirt and take attention away from the players that won the thing. By putting himself in the middle of the celebrations, he made everything about him, when it was not at all. If Terry had any dignity, he would have been nowhere near the trophy presentation. Then again, I can hardly claim to be surprised on that score. Having said that, wd Chelsea. No idea how you pulled it off though :D Title: Re: John Terry Post by: The Baron on May 20, 2012, 10:24:13 AM Concentrating on the positives rather than people like Terry.
