I don't think checking the turn is good . I think barrel fold maybe ?

Title: Re: Sunday 500 spot Post by: muckthenuts on June 04, 2012, 04:06:00 PM Yeah i think flop is fairly close but checking probably better. As played i'd just fold turn now.

Title: Re: Sunday 500 spot Post by: BorntoBubble on June 05, 2012, 01:22:45 AM thanks for the feedback if we dont bet the flop what route are we taking if say the button then raises? chk call flop chk fold turn?
I passed the turn was a bit of a meh spot and was playing well even though this tornement was way above mynormal level! Lost a big pot to WizardOfAhhs when my JJ got beat by his A9 then.. My exist hand was when i have 20BB 150 left bubble is 108 and it is a big bubble for me around $800 as this is way above normal level is a lot!... im sat around 120th so thinking i cannot really hang on for the bubble.. I min click the cut off with AJ off Button almost min 3 bets my raise is 2k he makes it around 4.1 it folds back to me and i jam he has AK and i dont improve Im thinking this is pretty standard but in the heat of the moment i was thinking i could have folded and waited for a better spot. Any suggestions i dont think i had that many hands on the guy at the time mabye around 30! Again much apprieated for the feedback! Title: Re: Sunday 500 spot Post by: youthnkzR on June 05, 2012, 02:27:28 PM fold pre!
Title: Re: Sunday 500 spot Post by: railtard1 on June 05, 2012, 11:06:00 PM fold pre! This is what REALLY annoys me. PHA needs to be regulated against things like this. It is off putting for people (including me) to take time to post. I play the sunday 500 every week, and won it before (sorry for brag), so i am probably able to give a good response about some spots, but then i read a comment, that is in NO WAY funny, in NO WAY constructive and can in NO WAY be serious if you understand how the game of NL holdem works and i just cnt be botherd to take the time to post. I think people who just troll the PHA and write things like this should be banned from posting in PHA. Poker hand analysis is something that everyone has used to help improve there games, everyone is at a different standard of play and its good hearing all responses to hands, but someone saying "fold pre" in a spot where obviously folding pre is something you should be doing 0% of the time, really annoys me and if the only input people want is to try and get laughs, then mayeb post on a joke thread, instead of PHA, where there is generally some excellent advice. AND BREATHE... lol Title: Re: Sunday 500 spot Post by: pokerfan on June 05, 2012, 11:12:47 PM fold pre! This is what REALLY annoys me. PHA needs to be regulated against things like this. Its a easy, free, comfortable and intelligent for everyone to learn and discuss, and its great if we can keep it like this. glgl Title: Re: Sunday 500 spot Post by: corkeye on June 14, 2012, 08:39:47 AM Yeah in a multi way pot, and the fact that the board is super wet and we're OOP, i'm happy with checking flop and resisting a C bet, folding most bets tbh unless its tiny and we get a fantastic price. If it was heads up its worth a stab occasionally on the flop, but with all these players in, one of them at least is going to hit this flop hard, either a straight, flush and/or combo draw, with obvs a ton of horrible turn cards possible.
If you think about it, people who call pre are more likely to hit this flop harder than those that raise/reraise pre. As played shut down turn good fold. Calling turn or raising is highly optimistic/spewy and villain is barrelling all rivers at you Title: Re: Sunday 500 spot Post by: pleno1 on June 14, 2012, 12:12:42 PM million most people c/f aces here.
