Shame about the final result, although Aaron binking was still better than that Geordie turd-freezing disgrace winning it. Epic sweat at Royal Links in LV while chomping lunch with Pizzled and the country's leading NBA expert.
This is a really good market now. The fixed odds boys follow the Betunfair market and the Betunfair market is set by...well, not by the guys that it used to be set by imo. CH5 have annoying scheduled this series to start a week and a half before I go to Vegas, which is downright inconsiderate. But the bets normally get struck within the first couple of weeks, so should be all right. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on June 06, 2012, 10:21:55 AM Adam - Americans never win our reality shows. Septics have had better chances in Celeb BB and just not pulled in the votes. Last series the twins and Michael were both short prices at various stages but finished fourth and fifth of five in the final (first time they were voted).
Ashleigh - If this foul-mouthed Essex atrocity wins I'm giving up the game tbh. Already annoying in the house. Shushing 15 others by jamming your arm up when Big Brother makes an announcement isn't a good sign. 50s with me. Baffled by the early support for Caroline also. Poshies, like Americans, never win. If a poshy was ever gonna do it, it was Harry last year. Guy was comedy. But nobody votes for them. Victoria @ 3/1 for first eviction is value but I fancy Nelly Furtado Scott-Lee will be out on Friday with fat bird coming in to replace her. I've backed lydia at 2.0 to be first out, her reaction to being nominated was ridic. Fully expect this to be trading at 1.5 after tonights show. Hopefully the old bird won't do anything too drastic & lydia will continue to look like a nutter. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on June 07, 2012, 12:23:40 AM Still pretty convinced Aaron was a Facebook voting fix last series. He mentioned a couple of times about being a sports bettor and the voting was just too weird. Gamble landed if you ask me. Maybe it'll come out one day. Winners have never before been booed on the walk-out.
Market has it bang on for me at the moment. Top five in the betting are Luke A, Fatty from Blackburn (1.01 to get vogted in), Lauren, Benedict and Caroline. Wouldn't be looking outside that quintet for now but still very, very early. Agree with Tighty, think Chris is a tw@. More chance of Ben Duncan going on BBBOTS without make-up than Chris winning. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on June 07, 2012, 01:01:49 AM Wouldn't have a clue sir tbh.
Aaron had public support the whole way last year and topped all the polls by a long way from an early stage. Despite that his price was erratic. Even when he was HU v turd-freezer he went odds-against just before the lines were closed. We never saw anything like that in the CH4 days. If there was a lesson to be learned from last year it's that we should be listening to the polls 100%. Whatever they throw up. If some random is top in the majority of them, just get on. Simple as that imo. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: sovietsong on June 07, 2012, 11:52:42 AM apparently victoria wants to walk. I would like to see a new tactic from BB. For each hour after a person announces they'd like to leave the house, the prize pool should go down by 1k. Have it on a big screen in the house. Bet you won't see the other house mates putting as much effort into trying to make them stay after that. Simple as that imo. All three series of BB on Five have been 'funny' betting-wise. * Jedward and Kerry Katona getting creamed by Paddy Doherty but only after he went into odds-on in the last week. * Alex was actually a fairly strong favourite before Aaron beat her and Jay to a generally unpopular win. There were more than a few 'surprise' evictions along the way as well. * Denise Welch won presumably because of the insane 'Loose Women' fanbase and she somehow survived to win ahead of Frankie Cocozza and Gareth Edwards. http://www.metro.co.uk/tv/888694-denise-welch-wins-celebrity-big-brother-ahead-of-frankie-cocozza http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/celebrity-big-brother/frankie-cocozza-and-denise-welch-favourites-to-win-celebrity-big-brother-2012/ ========= I assume someone's leaked the current vote results or something as Lydia is into 4/1 ON at Betfair to be gone tonight (she's 4/7 at Ladbrokes). Victoria's 2/1 at Ladbrokes and Conor's 16/1 at Sky Bet. It's indeed a 'Vote to Save'. People hate Lydia so much that they'll tactically vote for Victoria to stay!? 2/5 Chris 7/4 Arron Don't think we should ever underestimate the teenage girl facebook 'save' vote this series. Arron is a pretty boy, Chris is a fat lad. Probably no need to go any deeper with it this week. It's now about 8/1 the field outright and still can't see a proper bet. Channers... Luke A Adam - the only genuinely likeable character in there but he's American, which is a big no-no Benedict Could go either way... Rebecca - do think she'll get in some major bust-ups though and not sure she's as tough as she makes out Shievonne Caroline Sara Conor No channers... Scott Lauren Luke Disgrace Chris Ashleigh Arron Lydia Deana Same as the past couple of years in that there's no obvious candidate among the girls. The edit will probably have a major say again from about the first month onwards imo. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Horneris on June 12, 2012, 01:36:37 AM Please can people post SPOILER ALERT in future if they are going to announce the nominations on a Monday or Tuesday daytime, I enjoy watching the nominations live on Tues night.

Really struggling to find a potential winner from this lot. Also, see Faceook votes are nor 33p a pop, rather than 7p as on the last series. That's £1 for three votes now as opposed to 14. That'll make a difference for sure. Only 3p cheaper than from landlines. Lord Brockett actually went odds-on for IACGMOOH at one stage. WTF! For BB, you gotta be good looking(ish), not posh, not American, not obese and have a sense of humour. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: booder on June 19, 2012, 11:13:15 PM Benedict and Lauren up for eviction.
Nothing else happening. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on June 19, 2012, 11:20:38 PM Without looking at the prices...
1/5 Lauren 7/2 Benny Dicked Unless anything has happened since Saturday that's gonna get Benny booted. Lauren...that voice when she goes low and moany rather than husky and 40-marlboro a day, urgh. Also not a girly girl and a bit of a whinger. Bennny, meanwhile, has that whole metrosexual, carey sharey thing going on. Lauren a gonna Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Horneris on June 19, 2012, 11:25:09 PM Yeah a lots happened since Sunday. Benedict started telling everyone about his wanking in the shower and had a massive go at Caroline for feeling uncomfortable about it.
The prices are completely the other way round. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: anthonyl on June 28, 2012, 10:24:56 PM wowwww
caroline just calls adam a big fucking gorilla. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on June 29, 2012, 01:40:33 AM wowwww caroline just calls adam a big fucking gorilla. Whoops and GG Caroline. Before I sit down tomorrow and watch about ten episodes, has it got any good yet? Looking like a sub-standard bunch in the early exchanges. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: anthonyl on June 29, 2012, 08:15:22 PM missed the odd couple of shows.
not a lot has changed really. last task was one of the best ever been on big brother though people have said - this is the first time I have watched big brother in 5 years so not my opinion! aaron is trying to crack onto sara though, not working out 4 him tho. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Horneris on June 30, 2012, 01:36:35 AM Yeah its awesome, just a shame they keep voting out the biggest characters as always
Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on July 01, 2012, 12:57:18 AM I wondered what effect a game-player winning last year would have and it's made a massive difference. Now everyone wants to 'play the game'.
But Aaron was also entertaining and funny at times, and this is not the USA. Game-players will never hold mass-appeal over here. By process of elimination I'm back to where I was on the first night, with Luke A, but not at 4/1. The edit will have a massive say again and, same as the previous two series, they're soon going to be running out of females. Shievonne, Ashleigh and Deana can't win and I'm not backing Rebecca with anyone's money. Actress is pretty close to the mark with her. I can't see girls voting for Lauren and think the positive edit will end up aimed at either Sara or Caroline. Have to wait and see with that. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Laxie on July 01, 2012, 10:12:11 PM Luke A or Lauren FTW imo. Sara might hang on til the end, but can't see her winning. Caroline is funny in a train wreck sort of way...cringe.
Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Josedinho on July 03, 2012, 11:13:39 PM Thoughts please -
I'm leaning towards one of LUSH winning. "Bullies" and "dulls" take it in turn getting voted off and we're left with the likes of Caroline, Shievonne, Adam, Becky and LUSH. Surely at that point only LUSH can get the funny and likeable edits? He's not involved in the game playing like the other lads and she didn't know a chicken came from an egg. Winning combo for me. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Horneris on July 04, 2012, 12:19:09 AM Lauren or Luke S for me. Hoping he comes out of the shadows a bit when Conor goes because hes genuinely a nice guy.
Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Linux on July 06, 2012, 11:10:22 PM Did not expect Arron to go, big shock
Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Horneris on July 06, 2012, 11:19:21 PM zzzzzzzzzz the public vote out the wrong people every week. Arron was very entertaining.
Becky will just sit on her bed stuffing her face for another week. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on July 07, 2012, 11:10:46 PM Time for an interest...
Sara @ 10-1 or bigger. Honest, pretty, sticks to her morals, gawd bless the Queen Mother, gets emotional when she's had a few, independant, not tied to one group, easy to watch, natural, bit of a sense of humour, girly enough for the girls to vote for, proud to be British (Scotch) and loves the royal family. Can't find any negatives with her tbh and she's unlikely to be put up for eviction in the foreseeable. The only other girls with any chance are Deana and Lauren. I do like Lauren but the girls just aren't going to vote for her. And that laddy laugh! Urgh. Deana halved in price last night after getting most votes in the Deana-Aaron-Conor-Beccy vote. I get the feeling she was winning a race akin to a Ripon seller and then being asked to run in a Classic. False market move imo. Too aloof and princessy to win. I wouldn't back any of those at single-figure prices. Luke A just hasn't done enough and is very unlikely to step it up now, while the longer it goes on the more Adam will go into prison mode. He's ultimately a bit scary. And he's American, which is a no-no. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Horneris on July 08, 2012, 12:44:08 AM Good analysis.
I don't see Adam, Deana or Luke A as likely winners either. I think Lauren is strong, think that girls may vote for her due to her vulnerability. Sara seems a good shout for all the reasons mentioned, she just seems a bit dull, you wouldn't know shes been in there really. But she may come on into more prominence now and grow into the edit and with all the non players the bet seems a good one. Also think Luke S has a chance but probably will just about fall short. People may see it as refreshing that it says hes on the show to win to improve his life out loud instead of the usual I don't care about the money bla bla. And he seems a nice lad. Becky might have a shout too but I fucking hope not. She is disgusting, stuffs her face 24/7 and says how much she enjoys eating and doesn't care about being fat then as soon as she is asked to wear a pair of trousers starts crying to the world about how shes too fat for trousers. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: JaffaCake on July 08, 2012, 02:23:07 AM what do u reckon on Caroline Chomps? She defo has some bad points, but some of the things she does are pretty funny and she's quite sweet most of the time. Her reaction to the bitchy statements played back (where she had to guess who said things about her) for the team task were brilliant, where half of them got really annoyed and taken aback, she was told someone said she's the bitchiest person they've ever met or whatever and she just burst out laughing. Are u, or anyone, keeping records of who's voting for who each week, there's some who have not had one vote so far (I would guess), Sara probs one of them to be fair, have had a little interest in her on your saying. Aaron going was good for her too
Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: millidonk on July 08, 2012, 08:14:00 AM Caroline has made it to my hate list: Andy Murray, Russell Brand and Caroline. She is an utter scumbag and a massive bully. Not even sure she will be able to exit through the front as the hatred is strong for her. As soon as the house put her up she will be out.
Like Lauren a lot, Luke S is a nice guy just a bit boring, think Scott is pretty com and can see him doing very well, stood up for himself well and seems to get on with most ppl. Rapscalian ftw. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Josedinho on July 08, 2012, 09:00:51 AM Urgh, chomps is the BB oracle so I have to back this but I think she's really dull. Happy to be against those at the top of the market though.
Still hoping for a Luke S win tho. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on July 08, 2012, 11:11:02 AM So far I've just had a few small bets, Luke A @ 16-1, Lauren @ 16-1, Benny Dicked @ 14-1 and, the biggest so far, Sara @ 14-1 and 12-1.
The head of the market is so weak. I'll probably add Luke S and Scott to the portfolio as trades today. Scott can't win coz he's posh but still fancy there's a market move in him. There's a bit more to Luke S than it first appeared but the show-mance with that Essex atrocity won't work in his favour. Caroline has been a big disappointment. She's such a product. Ben Duncan knows her and said she'd be good for comedy in the house on BOTS, but she's just an utter, non-stop bitch. That probably helped her get to top dog status at Roedean or wherever, but she's got zero chance in this imo. *No trading of Scott, just not gonna happen Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: sovietsong on July 13, 2012, 10:05:29 PM Who went?

Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Chompy on July 17, 2012, 02:13:15 PM Didn't think the eviction betting would be as clear-cut as it is to be honest.
No spoiler here but don't think she should be anything like a 9/4 shot. Each of two for me. No previous voting to look at and it's anyone's guess how he is viewed by the public at large. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: anthonyl on July 17, 2012, 06:57:59 PM all over for the show now, that group will be wiped out one by one
surely Sara or Scott have it wrapped up? Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Josedinho on July 17, 2012, 11:10:55 PM Caro the greatest housemate of all time?
Can't stand Luke A so hope he goes this week. Hate he thinks everyone else fixes nominations when they moan the most about the others. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: millidonk on July 17, 2012, 11:15:06 PM Caro the greatest housemate of all time? Can't stand Luke A so hope he goes this week. Hate he thinks everyone else fixes nominations when they moan the most about the others. Caroline is high on my 'most hated' humans list. What a disgusting rat, I hope her pony tramples her when she gets out of here. Scott ftw. I haven't offloaded any of the punt yet and will hold fire for now. Deana is such a bad price now and the Adam/Lauren/Luke A group is about to fall apart. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: scotty2hatty on July 20, 2012, 09:34:35 AM Caro the greatest housemate of all time? Think Dean would go in that case.
That would be good for Sara's chances. Not trading out yet anyway. Title: Re: Official 2012 Big Brother thread Post by: Horneris on July 22, 2012, 11:59:20 AM Its turned gash now.
I'm out. |
