Title: Fact or fiction
Post by: bundle on January 13, 2006, 06:54:28 PM
Now some time ago I read somewhere about this taking place on a poker site. Apparently there was a hand that took place at a $10/20 cash table. After all the cards where out, the board showed a royal flush…  so with 3 players in the pot it is going to split 3 ways.

Now when the last card came off the pack, one guy goes all in for about $900 or so, followed by idiot in the chat box, and the other two guys called..best 5 cards right.

Well the guy that pushed was holding 8 9 hearts giving him a 7 card royal flush and took down the pot….

Now  I don’t know if this is a fact or fiction. So does anyone know the rule on this..i assume this must be BS as we play the best five cards….?  :blonde:

Never heard that one.

If it did happen, then its wrong!! But some online software DOES have bugs in, so it may be true?!?

The 8-9 can't win.

I heard this story too.

Perhaps just a glitch in the software.

I might make a complaint if I was one of the other guys. However, if it means going through Party Poker customer service, then I'd just give it up.
