Title: Poker Team
Post by: kkkkkkkkkk on June 14, 2012, 02:23:27 PM
Anybody interested in getting together during the day or evenings, to discuss poker and  set up a team to play the daily grind.

It really pooling resources and poker knowledge

A lot of the most successful players are part of a group who play poker  together regularly

I would like to get 4 or 5 together if this is possible

it seems to be the way to go in poker nowadays, if you want to make money and keep your sanity

p.s.  by the way this has nothing to do with collution or cheating

don't understand ?

Don't worry. It's just me being silly. (I'm wasted on here)

Why not tell us a little about yourself? Oh, and welcome to blonde.

thank you

just looking to see if there are other interested people
meet up and see can it work
not much time wasted by anyone
and maybe a business venture could be created, over time.

The Poker Hand Analysis board is really already a place where people can get together during the day or evenings to discuss poker.

The rest of your post sounds like you want to set up a collusion ring.

Title: Re: Poker Team
Post by: kkkkkkkkkk on June 14, 2012, 03:29:33 PM
no collusion

just normal working together

i think it is fairly common, especially with the best players in the country

they are doing something right

and they are not colluding

Tbh with you this is only really something Id do with friends. I do do it regularly, and think it helps alot tbh.

Good idea, just think you need to keep it between you/your immediate friends as opposed to asking on an online forum

Lots of people here do it, but they would only do it with other people that they know reasonably well.

Spend a little time here, get to know the grinders, the super serious guys, the recreational ones, & you'll soon find some guys to hook up with, all things being equal.

It's a little unusual for a complete newcomer to come on & request this, hence a little reserve & caution. Nobody is going to do this with a complete stranger, for very obvious reasons.

Good luck, have a look round the entire Forum - in your case, "Poker Hand Analysis" (PHA) Board in particular, & you'll be fine.

I agree with Tikay get chatting to people and eventually you may find people that would do this sort of thing i tend to just stick to close friends and discuss over skype seems the best way!

Thanks for the feedback guys

really would like to meet an discuss in person rather than on the forums

this is not trying to cheat
its just simple real life interaction, to see if we could learn off each other
and maybe make a big success from poker
just like all the smart guys do
very few off the winners play on their own, they understand that you need a team to talk and discuss

Hope someone sees my point

kind of hoping there are players out there, who feel the same
and want to get together

No one is disagreeing with that, merely you should introduce yourself, let people get to know you over a while before anyone on here is likely to be interested.

dont have a lot of poker friends who can devote time and money

thats why thought this was goood place to meet, poker players with the same idea

EVERYONE here sees your point, it is perfectly standard, loads of regulars here do it.

However, none of them will do it with a complete stranger!

They have no idea of who you are, or even, quite importantly if “real life interaction” is needed where you live.

You’ll need to tell us/them where you live, & a bit about yourself – what level you play at, cash or Tourneys, existing records or CV via database, Live or Online, da de da.

Sir,

Please read my previous replies carefully.

We are cool, but you are being given good advice & replies, & don't seem to be taking it in the intended spirit.

Are we cool, Ylanda, are we cool?

PS - Hammersmith. Know it well, used to be a regular at the Palais. Two seperate tube stations, one either side of the Broadway, too. Bus Station. Heaven on the A4.

I still have no idea who are you are and what you play (apart from poker)!

I mean if you were online tourney grinder (like myself) with excellent long term results and wanted to discuss strat over skype, I would jump at the chance tbh. Whereas if you are a live cash game grinder, with no discernable proof of results I am not interested.

All I know so far that can't be bothered to go for a Coffee in London. Though I do like Coffee and poker so you never know.

The Palais is CLOSED?

What?

So what happened to Joe Loss & his Orchestra?

Yikes, I'm gutted. He was good, was Joe Loss.

Yeah, the Palais is long gone.

Exciting times though - there is an application for the Ladbrokes on the Broadway to become a Nandos!

I live in Nottingham. Tbh the kind of people I would be looking to get into this kind of thing with (if at all) would be a lot more open and have more of online grinding background.

My suggestion if you want to get something like this out of this particular forum (or any other forum) is to be patient and get your name known round here. That way people can make a judgement on whether you would be someone good to "team" up with.

look at the most successful players in the country and you see their results, they are not hermits
Expect a post from Pleno offering you an opportunity. Most of the decent players already do what you are suggesting and use teamviewer/Skype etc. Trying to set your own up and attracting people of the sort of ability you will need will be quite hard. Instead look at what coaching is available for you to join and go from there. This is generally a fast track to success. Gl

Frankie makes a good point... Hendon Mob would be good, but if you're just getting started in Poker maybe an introduction, picture, or someone that knows you and is a full member on here to vouch for you.

Blonde has a very open and interactive community which offers it's members a lot.  Everything from free Poker hand Analysis, live/online staking, to general advice, the thing about the community is that everyone is very open about who they are, without disclosure no one is going to take you seriously, let alone meet up with you to talk poker...

Tell us a little about yourself and maybe you'll get some people biting..

Just so you know kkkkkkk, its pretty normal on blonde to be super friendly and say who you are..

You are highly unlikely to get any of the more serious players even talking to you if you wont say who you are?

For example, I'm John Black and I have an insane hedge!

I have found pleno and the rest of the guys her very friendly and now have a skype group to talk to... but you need to give a little of yourself.
