Title: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. Post by: smashedagain on June 22, 2012, 12:22:10 PM So just done the Tesco shop and these things are now available in Scunthorpe. £10 seems expensive for a dozen and I am just looking at em.

You don't want to be buying the ones from tesco though - go to a proper krispy kreme place where you can have 'em freshly baked with a cofee. Mmmmmmmm. Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. Post by: kinboshi on June 22, 2012, 12:27:21 PM Herbs - you're da man. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are great marketing, but the product is pretty meh.
Prefer 6 jam doughnuts from the supermarket (as long as they're really soft and doughy). Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. Post by: Graham C on June 22, 2012, 12:29:05 PM Yeah pretty expensive for a donut.
Boshi speaketh the way forward, 6 for about 50p in Sainsburys is the way Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. Post by: smashedagain on June 22, 2012, 12:32:28 PM Yeah tbh getting em hot might be better but I expected them to be orgasmic. Having said that Cadwell has a smile in her face that I have not seen in a long while. :)

What's all the fuss about. Post by: bobAlike on June 22, 2012, 01:56:59 PM BTW, KK's are very nice but I am sick of them at the moment as my daughter bought a dozen of mixed variety and was given a dozen plain/glazed ones for free. Don't want to see another for a while now.

Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. Post by: Bongo on June 25, 2012, 08:32:48 PM I don't mind the price so much and they're not a bad doughnut (prefer the caramel ones from Bird's though) but what I really don't get is that there's always, always a huge queue to buy them.
That and the 30 minutes browsing time on a Sunday. Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. Post by: BorntoBubble on June 25, 2012, 10:04:12 PM im not allowed dounuts but like what they do in their shops (even though i cannot have one)!
Seems way more value to buy direct. You tend to get a free dounut fresh of the line while in the queue and they seem to do good deals plus give stuff away If i was a tramp who could eat dounuts i would go their everyday for a free donut! In some mid western Indian towns ;) they'd put you on the block for less.. But for all you that have a sweet tooth, try some of these bad boys, available from any Indian Restaurant and simply delicious.. Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. I have to say though, my real weakness is for the good old Tesco's jam doughnuts ;kev; Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. I have to say though, my real weakness is for the good old Tesco's jam doughnuts ;kev; lol bizarrely enough I have some of those in the car too. I'm presenting to 2 groups today, the first are getting sandwiches with cakes and the tesco donuts, doing another this afternoon and they are getting the Krispy cremes to have with a cup tea. The tesco ones were still warm when I picked them up and smelt delish, I nearly wilted and had one ;D Title: Re: Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What's all the fuss about. And unlike the KK's it seems, less temptation to stick your **** in them afterwards.
