Title: Darts betting
Post by: Cards and Corners on June 27, 2012, 09:12:12 AM
New here, and infact newish to the poker world. (late starter)
Been on alot of sports betting forums, and this is one sport (it is a sport isnt it?) that doesnt get alot of coverage.
Iv recently delved into the darts world betting at the UK open event last month, and finished well up with a little back ground work, but can anyone point me in the general direction of someone well in, in this sport?

C+C

Is there a better walk on than Andy The Pieman Smith's "Eat it" by Weird All Yankovic? Always cracks me up.

Gary Anderson ~ This bloke has more excuses in his locker than slim chance does for his bosses when he is late for work "again" but thou his doubles let him down a bit, and he does seem to have an eye problem (he walked off stage in Germany after 1 leg) he can still find the treble 20.
I can see 16 to 18 legs of darts in this match and fancy Gando to have over 4.5 x 180s @1/1

Anderson over 4.5x180s 1/1

Wes Newton ~ Another bloke not in great form, but still one of those players that has a big game in him, i dont think this is his eent, thou he only lives a few miles away in Fleetwood.
His finishing is the one side of his game that has improved, so Wes to have an outshot of over 109 to me is a solid enough bet.

Newton finish over 109 @ 1.83

Baxter and Chissy ~ For me the game of the first round hopefully. Chissy is a big 180s scorer, that sometimes slips up on his finishing, and i think Baxter will get alot of shots at the 110 to 130 range of finishing tonight if things go according to plan.

Baxter over 104 finish @ 1.83

Pipe and Cullen ~ I like neither player, and find watching both of them fairly annoying, as anymore players like pipe on tv would kill the game. Slow, boring and imo not suited for tv, certainly not my tv.
Pipes throw is very snatchy aswell, so even the 180 line is questionable at over 3.5.

But i think he will have to much for Cullen, but cullen will get a few shots at the finishes with Pipe slipping up on doubles now and then.

Cullen over 103 finish @ 1.83

Don't like the Anderson bet, I have been deliberating over the past 2 weeks whether to stick up Winstanley @7/4 but his form over the past month is just a touch out.
I have the feeling all is not right with Anderson's Eye injury and their must be a good chance he's just here for the 5k appearance fee.
If the Money had came for Deano then i'd be more confident as Andeson has been known in the past to throw in a few iffy games.

Andersons last 15 Tv appearances this year has seen him throw 32 180's in 179 legs= 1 every 5.59legs
The above is without the recent problems he had with his Left Eye which he says he uses to focus on the board as the other is covered by the Flight.

Obviously when Anderons at full flow he's one of if not the best scorer in the game but too many if and buts for me tonight and Winstanley most 180's @11/8 and to win the Match @7/4 look far better bets.

Winstanley usually hits loads of big scores but has trouble with his finishing and counting.
In his last 2 Matches on the Big stage he hit 7 180's in 20 legs=1 every 2.85
He lost both these matches.
He had a similar amount of 180's on his run to the Final of the BDO finall in 2011.

I've gone in for Winstanley. 2.74 has to be a good price but I agree this has the potential to be all scoring and no finishing. Anderson lets things get to him too often. And the more it becomes a daft-athon, the more even it will be. Hence we go with Deano.

Players championship this weekend. Iv landed some info recently (Profitable)  off a poker player/darts player/stats man from a darts forum (Uses the alias Dicie). This lad seems to have a very good strike rate, also uses Talking horses forum as well.

Ian White to beat young Michael Smith
Robert Thornton to beat Mark Walsh
Gary Anderson plus 1.5 legs to beat Wes Newton (VC)
Chisnall most 180s in his game Vs Jones (Sky B)
Vangerwen most 180s in his game Vs Painter

I dont know him, have never met him, i just seen his info for the last 2 tv events and seen he was +131 points to a level stake. Didnt see any harm in re posting his stuff, if he doesnt want it used he shouldnt have it on the internet. Whats a "Bailie"?

If he gets bets on with VC AND Skybet he can't be very shrewd imo.

Only an idiot has just the one account with each bookmaker.

So i take it from that you know him. Go ask him then if he has an issue with this being posted here. While you are there, tell him i am not to bothered as to what he thinks, or for that matter you.

I dont think so.

Infact, to be honest i thought it was rather polite. Why doesnt Marky147 run to Dicie and tell him/her that iv reposted his opinions on the out come of a few darts matches.

I dont post often, but i read regularly, and sharing info on tips threads seems to be the done thing, so why would this Dicie character have an issue with his information been shared? Or why would Marky147 think he/she would have an issue with it.

I dont think the balaclava mention was meant as anything other than to try and stop me posting this stuff in the future. Why would i care if he is handy with one.

I really don't think Marky meant anything by it tbh mate.

I read it as there is a story ref this Dicie guy which involves a balliclava and Marky for you would know it? could be wrong obv.

Share and share alike, I know I for one appreciate you posting the tips.

Someone had their weetabix this morning, or too many E numbers :D

I just guessed you were mates with Dicie when you said you had landed some info in which case you would get the joke. (FWIW I don't run anywhere)

Hopefully we never get to see you throw your toys out if that was polite, post away and good luck to you bud :)

Yeah they'll be worth getting behind if they're from Dicie, he throws a few arrows himself to a decent standard too.

Thats how i came across him. He was being challenged to a game in Ireland somewhere. He traveled, won, and got stung for the cash. Your man said he would have to transfer it to his account, i think from the thread it was only €500 a man.(It may have been more,im just going on what 1 person said, but their was no shortage of folk backing this Dicie person for any colour of cash, Chris Mason was trying to get involved, he wanted anything up to 2k on him if others would cover it, again, im not sure if he got stung as well) Dicie left his behind the bar, as he said it was like that for all cash games. Seems the thread is gone now that i went looking to put the link up, but it was a lad called Rooney he beat 5 sets to 2. I dont think it ended very amicably from what others where posting.

Look, no doubting the blokes info is golden. I will send him a message on the darts forum asking if it is ok to post it here.

All well outside of my areas of knowledge, I know Dicie through poker and know he's big into darts through another poker forum.

He used to give other folks info privately if he didn't want it made public anyway and I was just messing about because I thought you knew him as I said :D
