Never for me but I've had 2 close calls. Once at the Bellagio with some dude who was needling me and it escalated out of control and he offered me out and I was ready to go but floor called security and the guy got binned.

Another time in the Flamingo with this Vietnamese guy who had the worst etiquette I have ever seen, slowrolling constantly, showing 1 card at showdown and deliberately showing his worse card so you thought you had won the hand, then when you tabled your hand he turned over his other card which beat your hand. He did that 3 or 4 times, and when he did it to me I hit the roof lol ;snoopy'sguns;

it's part of the reason I don't play too much live anymore, so many douschebags and scumbags that I just always seem to get into it with someone.

Got turned over outside the vic one morning for the tune of about 2 bags by the same bloke I just took it off on the table (somepeople are just sore losses).

He was wating for me out side the door must have bean there for about an hour wating lol

Someone threw a full cup of tea at a guy who outdrew him at Napoleons once and it missed and hit me, if that counts.

Mrs Red once grabbed my ear, twisted it quite viciously and said in a menacing voice, "Your not going to the poker tonight, you're taking me to the pictures".

once when I was really steaming from some bad beats I got into an epic fight right after with Zangief on street fighter 2

I once called a poker pro a c*nt after he was constantly disrespectful to an older gent at a cash game at Walsall a few years ago.

A few. Only 1 came to blows. Been part of stopping a couple too.

Have litt had 30+ big arguments but no blows. I used to really pissed with anybody who was angling. Over 50% of he rows have been with cardroom supervisors.

i got told i was going to have my "throat ripped out" by some thugish guy when i kept moving in on him in a comp at DTD before i jammed the btn with 42 and beat his TT :D

Then Barry Neville stepped in and told him he wasnt going to rip my throat out, and the guy quickly agreed that he in fact wasn't going to.

Considering I've only played in a cardroom since October, and have been called a c*nt and various other things, I don't give it too long before I'll be posting something here.

I dunno if this counts, but anyway a mate and I were walking back from playing a £5 poker tournament in a local village pub, obv had a few beers when we saw some bloke riding down the road. Well, all you could see really was a moustache and a pair of evil looking eyes staring at us from beneath his hat, I quickly started looking at the pavement, scarey looking dude.

Anyway my mate was saying about how we should go to a proper casino to play but we live out in the middle of nowhere so I was explaining that he should get a car when FFS silly old pissed me stumbles off the kerb and nearly slams into the geezer on the bike. Luckily he managed to swerve round me, I sort of mumbled "Sorry!" but I dunno if he could hear with that thick old hat pulled down over his ears. So we just carried on.

Then about 5 minutes later he comes riding back and starts ranting and raving that we'd been swearing at him. WTF? Geezer grabs my Lacoste polo shirt and my mate of course does a runner. Bastard! Luckily I'm a big UFC fan and train it in my Gym in my Mum's basement so I kneed the geezer in the balls and then elbowed him in the head. He went down like a sack o' spuds and then I picked up his bike and shoved it right up his arse. Fuck yeah!

So if you ever see a bloke with a Tom Selleck tash who has a great deal of trouble sitting down, do us a favour and ask him WTF he's doing going round starting on people for absolutely no reason. Some people eh....

Yeah. Always 2 sides to a story

In 1990 I was dealing a cash game, pot was around £10k. An ex professional boxer (who was coked up at the time) was sitting in seat 9 and raised on the river, seat 1 called. When I asked to see them seat 9 had no cards. I apologized unreservedly and as there was really no such thing as TD's or Floor just the pitboss that hadn't really a clue, I kept on saying sorry and whilst i was apologizing I apologized some more and told him seat 1 wins the pot. I kind of got the words out "you should have protected your....."  Not sure if I got the word "cards" out as I came too about 5 minutes later with a dislocated Jaw. Never ever mistakenly taken cards since :/

I've had a 'fight' with MAD DOG of northampton... Malcolm Daniels... He used to be bad-ass years ago but nowadays he's a joke.

A year or two ago I asked him something like "how did you get those chips DOG?" and he blew up and threw a cup of tea at me and then tried to wrestle me to the ground.

Bear in mind this guy is like 70 years old and in the end i have to headlock him to the ground for the doormen to take him away... lollers, stupid old fool.

I've only ever played online so no. I did get into an argument in the chatbox once though with a guy who kept on insulting everyone at the table.

I've been meaning to sign up here for a while but had to now just to comment on this.

This bloke is the only person I've ever thought about having to fight at the poker table, simply because he is such a nasty antagonising prick. I've seen him go mad and start demanding that somebody go outside for a fight just because showed a bluff for a tiny pot in a £30 tourney. I asked another older player about him and he said he's always getting barred from places for stuff like throwing chairs at people, and generally he creates a horrible atmosphere at the table.

Bit of a co-incidence that there was a kick off in Dtd last night, loud bang (the meeker thought a shotgun had gone off), and all the big guys go storming out to settle and the police are called.

I'd always thought his bark was worse than his bite until these posts. Always found it pretty easy to put him on tilt too.

Chap at the aria last night wasn't too happy when his aces < my kings aipf. He got very upset and threw out a few unpleasant utterances. Obviously that is the first time he's ever lost in that spot.  ::)

Anyway, he went white and I was not thinking this was a good situation for standing up and pointing out he was being a childish tool (I have a sixth sense for these things). He would have defacated down my throat if I had dared to open my mouth!

Resisted the urge to offer my hand when he bust 5 long, quiet minutes later.

A player in my game was about £3k ahead at the Empire last year, and decided to leave as he was smashed and felt sick.   Walking outside he was hit on the back of the head by someone with a lump of lead piping (which I thought only happened in Roger Melli sketches) and was knocked out cold.  Unfortunately, the thieves hadn't factored in his extreme drunkeness which meant that he had wandered off home leaving his £2k and his wallet on the poker table and they were safely in the Empire cage when he returned the following afternoon. 

Obviously this is no sleight on the Empire as they could have just been opportunistic theives in Leicester Square targeting a drunkard.

Never had a problem with him. He did try and start something one night at a table I was on and he just got told the shut up and grow up and that was about it. Mad-Dog became a little puppy
