Why worries about pros? Just worry about urself if u wanted to play . There's lots of fishes , pros & donks aswell . Just don't don't tell them what categories u felt into . U decide !!! There mayb 150 for Day1A and 300 for Day1B + alternates . Title: Re: DTD £200 F/O Pros/Cons Day 1A/1B AUGUST Post by: Mitch on July 17, 2012, 07:01:02 PM LOL Frankie.
Lost in translation. Title: Re: DTD £200 F/O Pros/Cons Day 1A/1B AUGUST Post by: smashedagain on July 17, 2012, 07:20:10 PM Usually play 1b for convenience and think the field is usually softer and has more players so early tables are easier. However this time a lot of decent players are looking to play Stoke and come to Dtd day 1b if they bust so 1a could be softer. As a recreational player just enjoy whichever day you choose. Play your game and run well

Day 1b is the best option though imo.

There used to be a "style" bias in the two days because of re-entries. Play would be more loose on 1a as people played for a stack, twice, knowing they'd be back on 1b if necessary Now as a freezeout that tendency will be removed In general you'll find the field on 1a have a higher proportion of local players than 1b, and 1b people have travelled from further afield If you live far enough away that you need a hotel, then of course 1b is going to be cheaper expenses wise You'll find field size for 1b about twice that of 1a Title: Re: DTD £200 F/O Pros/Cons Day 1A/1B AUGUST Post by: CHIPPYMAN on July 17, 2012, 08:27:41 PM LOL Frankie. Tighty i dont mind 2 night stop expense, try and make good weekend of it, i was thinking along the lines of your thoughts re no re buy next day so day 1 will prob be not so manic, will there be like a normal £50 tourney on sat night still? However I would tend to agree with Smashedagain that as there are usually more runners on day 1b the fields do seem a little softer.
I used to always play d1a so that I could re enter if I didn't make it to day 2. But as the tourneys at DTD are not re entry at the moment I will be playing day 1b now. Good luck whichever day you play.
