Title: Standard hand, plan on turn Post by: MC on July 20, 2012, 06:58:47 AM 18-man SNG.
Villain is a bad fish. Stack size a little tricky on the turn. Do we... Bet/call Bet/fold Check? Plan for river if we get there? Bet/folding being option 2

Title: Re: Standard hand, plan on turn Post by: TL900 on July 20, 2012, 09:42:37 AM think i prefer b/f to checking back just because I think when he c/shoves were always behind. We can get called by worse while charging alot of draws and valuebet certain rivers.
Think bet/calling is pretty bad. Title: Re: Standard hand, plan on turn Post by: mondatoo on July 20, 2012, 05:18:49 PM B/c, he's a fish, unless he's a nitty bad fish then we lose to K9/T9 and QJ, lolz if he has 99. Ton of 1pr + draw hands he will over play on turn.
Title: Re: Standard hand, plan on turn Post by: mondatoo on July 20, 2012, 05:28:23 PM Obv not loving it btw, but it's a sng, fish in these spaz off loads as you know, you're going to be wrong a lot b/f here.
Not sure how different 18's play to 180's early on but think it's a mistake to b/f vs fish if they're the same. I think it just comes from my own experience really, the postflop plays of fish in sngs are just terrible and would expect you can safely profitably b/c AK here. Yeah, this was my thinking as I was playing the hand. I nearly checked back, then I decided to bet/call, as I thought he might rejam as light as J9/Q9 or hands like that. I think his stack size helped dictate this decision though, would have a harder time doing it if he was full stacked I think. I just wasn't sure of the line. Sort of glad to see a dispute between all 3 options, thought I might have been posting up a really basic hand but it did feel like a tricky decision at the time. |
