I loved that video when it first did the rounds. He did several, all of them were like he just won the world cup or an Oscar, and all of them were basically because he made day 2 or 3.

This never gets old.  I love the interview he does where he talks about making an announcement about turning professional..........

Pretty sure IIRC that there was a clip of the 'hero' hosting a stars home game called beat the pro or something along them lines. They do not know who is turning up till the door bell goes and it's Jake Cody who is not too sure about leaving his R8 on the street outside (Manchester estate that looked like it had character). Anyhows, our 'hero' beats Mr Cody heads up, so by my math he could/should of been the 2011 Wsop, 25k heads up bracelet winner had he entered. Cream!

Change "social players" to "recreational", "satellite qualifiers", "ultra soft", "awful", "French/German/whatever",  and you'll find precisely those sentiments echoed in at least half of the blonde staking threads!

Maybe I just look at things upside down, but we, as poker players, do tend to denigrate the opposition, & we so often describe them as bad. We are all good, they are all bad. Still hard to beat them though, we can't all be winners, can we?

Maybe it is just me who sees it that way, in which case, carry on, as you were. ;)

Exactly this..... I've been loling all week at poker players f/b status saying they are sat playing the grand prix and how soft their tables are. Not one of em has made day 2 and is complaining how bad their opponents are still.

My turn today and i fully expect to have all the chips in play if it has less than 150 runners :)

I played with Wayne a few years back. Not changed much especially the hair cut despite being told how bad it is. The irony is That could be what his taxi  could have looked like after  he got arrested for being rude with an under age girl in the back of it. Reports go from she consented to he served 6 months. He did surface briefly in G Manchester after his PCA cash for braggs but has not been since after being told the score.

I was in the Empire 3 years ago, a reg (Let's just call him Matt) who'd been playing much more then normal and been doing 50+ sessions was on the back end of a long session, he got involved in a hand where he turned a house unbeknown to him that his opponent had flopped a straight flush, now both stacks were reasonable around 2.5k each in a 1-2 game, the money goes in the middle on the river, the cards are turned over and the pot starts to get pushed in the direction of the fresh faced player.  Now Matt starts complaining to the dealer as he doesn't realize that there is a straight flush on the board when the dealer points it out to him, he goes ballistic shouting "5 8 OF HEARTS FACKING 5 8 OF HEARTS" to cut a long story short the ambulance were called and I never to this day saw Matt again...   

wow. Cantu has done nothing that Hellmuth has not done before but it just shows you how much these guys want it. The thing I found funniest was that Mike the Mouth was giving Cantu advice on Twitter. Mike has had some of the biggest explosions in history. It does make you wonder about these guys mental well being :)
