These are going to be phenomenal value

"The £200 satellites haven't run well, players have chosen to play the Grand Prix sats instead

I really want to play the sat but I can't make the event due to a wedding on Friday and Birthday Saturday.

Are the seats transferable to any other event?

"If you win more than one seat, you have the option to transfer the second seat to another event, another player or upgrade it to a higher buy in event. There is no option to cash in the seat, they must be used for live events at the club. Your first seat win must be used for the event (specific dates) for which you have won it. "

just won in the sat so will be there on Saturday. Had a good night, late regged the 15e headhunter to play at same time as the 200DS sat and won that for 317e as well.

The satellite tonight started at 8.30pm and was over by 10.19pm with 86 runners inc late entries.  It might be great value, but it plays like a total crapshoot.  Can we please please please have some satellites more akin to the event we are actually trying to satellite into???

What, a £200 buy in satellite?

lol no obv not! For some reason the levels were 10 mins during the rebuy period but then 5 mins thereafter. I really don't understand the reasons why!

The following rules apply on all winning seats & duplicate winning seats for the same event

·     Seats cannot be transferred to other players

·     1st winning seats MUST be played in the event quoted in the tournament information box in the online lobby

·     2nd winning seats can be deferred to the next scheduled event OR used within a 4 week period. Please note that seats that are not deferred or used within 5 weeks after the event intended for, they will expire

·     Golden Chips are not valid on duplicate wins or wins that have been transferred

·     Seats can be exchanged for higher buy-in tournaments by paying the difference

·     Seats can be exchanged for lower buy-in tournaments but no change or tournament credits will be given on the difference

·     No refund or cash alternative is available for winning or duplicate winning seats

·    Physical Golden Chips will not be awarded for these tournaments

 

Seems a bit harsh not to refund the difference when dtd don't hold any regular £200 events. Shelley won another seat last night- what other comps can she realistically use £200 for without losing money?

Hi,

Nicola has asked me to post here on our non refundable, non transferable satelitte win policy;

We put on online satelittes to qualify players for a specific live event and it is integral part of trying to hit our GTE's.

We do not want to;

1. Incentivise players to win multiple seats for a specific event, if we put 100 seats online, we want 100 unqiue players in the event
2. Incentivise professional players to use our satelittes to make their wages
3. Incentivise players to play a satelitte when they cannot make the live event
4. Incentivise players  to sell seats to players that would directly buy-in anyway

Of course, sometimes a player may still choose to win 2 seats, even with this non refundable, not transferable policy, in that case, we will allow the player to use the seat value but within a month (in a 5 week month, a player who wins 2 deepstack seats can transfer to next deepstack 5 weeks later of course)

For players that want to win LIVE TOURNEY CREDITS (ie. bank up live credits to play any DTD comps now or in the future) we will be introducing DTD Voucher Online Satelittes, players will be able to use for ANY DTD event with no timeframe to redeem them.

I think this covers all bases and is very fair. We gave 14 seats away for our £200 last night, we definitely want all 20 players in the £200 event this weekend.

Of course, we do expect a significant decrease in our satelitte numbers as a result of this policy change but in the long term, its best for DTD and the target market that satelittes are aimed at.

They have been making 100 runners, approximately, and require double that to hit the seat guarantees, with overlays running into five figures so far

The next one is 8.30pm tonight, and they run through Friday night

Decided to play this event playing fri day 1a even though I pass stoke I thunk dtd deserves the support of poker players .

This is my feeling too, I live in Stone (10 mins to Stoke card room), but would rather travel the 55 mins to DTD.

100% definitely, the only CPP Golden Chip that wins a package is the winner only

Been stuck to choose if I am playing or where to play, so only choice I have now is to play Nottingham tomorrow, but it's not really ideal in the whole grand scheme of things.

A lot of players are playing Stoke, Friday is a day when less people turn up anyway, so therefore I am seeing that players who choose to play Friday will be disadvantaged? I am not expecting much more than 100 for Friday, can anyone at DTD help with expected numbers?

I know this sounds tight but i won a satalitte the other night, but the prize is 300euros it says in the lobby, but £225 doesnt equate to 300 euros, what happens to the excess?

It’s due to when the exchange rate is set and we have to add a percentage on to cover for fluctuating exchange rates. We don't actually get the funds for tournaments running now until 18th of next month and therefore the exchange rate will have changed again. We usually lose roughly €2,000 a month due to exchange rates and therefore have been forced to add a bit per seat.

For these satellites there has been an overlay each night (between €2000 - €3000 every night) therefore the € cost of the seats are offset against the overlay. As the 20 seats are guaranteed all winners win their £225 seat so we havent gained from the excess of the exchange rate it has just created a bigger overlay :(

Brilliant comp. Ideal structure imo. 30 minute blinds, 30k starting stack, blinds start at 50/100. Think you've got it down to a tee now. The 40 minute clock on day two is great, could be even longer imo, 50 minutes even. Nit picking of course, it gets a 5 stars from me :)

The breaks are pretty damn long actually, I know it's to get everyone grinding the roulette in the break, but 20 minutes is a bit much for us non-degens.

Really looking forward to the £500 next month :)

Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone that supported this event, especially after the Grand Prix last week. there is no doubt that it is tough times for DTD at the moment with the increased competition locally and accross the UK' so to get 510  unique players was great. I am well aware that it would be impossible to hit this number if certain players did not go out of there way to support us, special thanks to them.........we keep the DTD journey going for u guys :)

The cash games yesterday were absolutely buzzing, SIX 1/2 games at one point, and I'm sure as many 50/1s too. Really great to see and I think it may be to do with the lack of re-entries. Everyone with slightly heavier pockets, not in the tournament for so long etc, it's had a massively positive effect on the cash games this weekend which is a brilliant side effect (/ perhaps this was part of the plan!) to the new system. Great stuff DTD, cash games have been so baron for so long, would be awesome to see this continue :)
