Title: Wtfffffff
Post by: MC on July 26, 2012, 12:35:10 PM
$33 Reg Speed Final Table (142 runners)

Both villains are fish. The bb villain has been seen to open jam 40bbs pre on the FT bubble, and he click-raise 4b me a couple of hands previously from MP to which I folded.

Thoughts on whole hand (except pre obv)

id probs just bet the flop and go from there. I feel like theres plenty of hands that fish will call you with that are worse.  I have no idea why you would raise the turn after check/overcalling the flop, seems like a call to me. you have to fold now i think.

It felt like calling a min-bet on the turn was super weak, and could put me in tough spots when wizko raises. I guess I was doing it so I could comfortably fold to any further aggressive action.

Admittedly I may well have botched this hand.

100% bet flop, get called by all other Ax Kd pairs with diamonds etc

Call turn as played, now follow your guess and comfortably fold to further aggressive action.

+1 to bet flop. Let them smash it in with the naked Kd

I think we have to consider jamming the flop. Looks like a bit of an overbet but its <pot and its hard to imagine described villains folding the Kd, they can decide you have the Kd and call it off with worse Ax no diamond hands and you have equity against everything but the flopped nuts.

As played I think turn is a fold. He isn't bluffing, I'd imagine villain has a flush always.

I quite like checking the flop too, I think I'd check the flop more often than cbet because of stack sizes tbh. The way the hand is played out the turn is a clear fold, I very likely flat the turn min then try and get value on a large majority of rivers (by betting to a check or making a large raise on another min/small lead). I don't think  we can feasibly check flop then bet so big on the turn as we look so strong and lose action from the majority of hands we beat I feel. That being said, if I do cbet the flop I will most likely be looking for 3 streets on the majority of boards, I think our flop action is crucial to what we rep, what we do on the turn/river and the range of hands we can get villain(s) to continue with.  Good post, these spots can be really tough on soft finals
