Title: 3D Online Poker Room
Post by: Poppet7 on January 15, 2006, 02:55:35 AM
I saw this advertised in the recent Poker Player magazine, it's called PKR and I have already signed up, I think it's something different so should be a big hit. I don't want to get told off for posting links or anything but if any o you are interested then type PKR into Google and have a look for yourselves. It says the site is launching early 2006 - can't wait!!

(Hope this is ok to post?) - Apologies in advance if it isn't.

Poppet

You can actually play 3D rooms already - True Poker was the first one to launch a few years ago, and is probably still the best known.

They're great in theory but in practice the 'gimmick' actually detracts from the overall experience (IMO at least).  The games are slower, its harder to multi-table and in some cases, its hard to see the cards on a 3D effect table.

For me, the novelty wore off very quickly on the ones I've seen!  All I want is a simple, clear, reliable interface that isn't too resource-hungry, otherwise it'll deter many potential users with older PC's/non-Broadband internet from playing.
