Well, somehow I find myself on the Ladbrokes Cruise. No idea how it came about, but I'm here, thanks to Mr Laddies, & especially a very understanding attitude from Mr Hill, Mr 425 & Mr Spodds, all of whom I have obligations to of a varying nature.

So while I am here, I'll keep you posted as to what's going off, who's doing what, da de da de da. Got the digi-camera with me, there are heaps of blondes here, so I will stick some pics up as we progress. (took a few already).

We are moored in the Port of Miami as I write, due to cast off (get the nautical lingo) shortly, then tour the Caribbean islands for 9 days. A tough job, but, as the saying goes, someone's goitta do it.

 Wow you lucky bugger, You'll have the best working /holiday of your life, I did a similar cruise out of Miami that went around Cuba which cost me about £4000..........and you're going for free !!!!!!.

First faces I recognized at Heathrow this morning were these two - Luke Smith - "The Doc12345" - & Claire. We travelled together on the plane, & the transfer from Miami Airport to the Port. Claire is delicious, but she clearly fancies me, you can tell. I don't mind if they want me for my intellect, but when you can sense them mentally undressing you, it grates a little. I'm not just a sex object, i have feelings.

The pic was taken in "O'Neill's Bar" in Heathrow, where we had a lovely cooked breakfast. Well, it was crap, truth to tell, but it always tastes nicer at an airport.

OK, after a 10 hour flight, & 3 hours of transfer from the 747 jet plane to a whopping big boat, a bunch of us convened in the bar. Heres the lovely Claire again, with Luke, who refuses to leave Claire & I in peace. It was Bodds, JD's & Bacardi's all round. Just a coke for me - they don't serve pots of tea in this bar, dammit.

Hi Dad, Im so sorry I couldnt join you and mum on the cruise, but at the end of the day, Isabelle had been very ill, and would have found it very difficult to cope on her own for 2 weeks with the 2 kids. It hurts a lot not to be able to share this experience with you both, but their will be other occasions for The Medleys to Rule The Waves! Have a fantastic time, make lots of new friends and kick ass in the main event. Love you both lots and wish you a great trip....Jason xxx

Got a lovely double cabin, big double bed, with a vacancy for one.

Had to stop Posting last night, the sea was very rough, & the boat was lurching about, making it hard to type.

Will Post more Pics soonest, but my lappie (with Vodafone Card) is not working at the mo, maybe because we are a hew hundred miles from land. I am in an Internet Cafe now, but no idea how to load pics through this 'puter.

The Internet Cafe costs $0.50 per minute - thats about 20 quid an hour - OUCH!

I'm gonna start a Day Two Thread now.

Ahhh, the Ladbrokes cruise, this is the second one I've followed from the sidelines, Jessie May did a daily report last year and everyone seemed to be having a ball

I played my first online game on Laddies, and although I do play elsewhere it always seems like home to me, Ladbrokes has a close knit communiity feel to it and a lot of the players that I "met" online have now become good friends of mine in "real" life, (yes I know that statement assumes that I have a life)

As is the case with all online sites, I have encountered the occasional problem (Probably caused by one of the poker managers having too much to drink and falling asleep on the job) but customer service has always been fantastic and have sorted me out really quickly, I trust they will continue do do so, but it never hurts to blow a little smoke

I find it's best to ring rather than Email, (I don't think they can read)

Anyway, one way and another I know a lot of the poor souls who are slumming it aboard the good ship Ladbrokes while we lucky buggers enjoy the delights of the British winter, so I will be following these reports with great interest
