Title: Thank you DTD
Post by: david3103 on August 08, 2012, 11:29:12 AM
I failed to comprehend the importance of the Terms&Conditions attached to the Grand Prix Golden Chips (as, I think, did a few others).
Specifically, the 'no cash alternative, non-transferrable' bit.

So, you can imagine my disappointment when it became clear that making the final table two weeks ago didn't entitle me to anything other than my share of the prize pool since I already had a trip to St Kitts booked.

I want to be clear - I was told that the seat was non-transferrable on Tuesday when I registered and could/should have checked this out. My bad.

But after swapping a few emails with Nick Whiten, DTD have very kindly offered me a seat for the £500 Mega DeepStack at the end of the month. It's not quite the same value as I'd been hoping for, but maybe I can turn it into something more.

Thank you DTD.

I must admit I did think this to myself when you binked the second one. Thought there would be a chance they would let you sell it to someone if you could get a full value buyer. £500 is very generous imo.

Think you've done incredibly well there David. And well done Dusk Till Dawn. Not very often you see that level of humanity in the poker scene these days. :)

Sigh, was going to offer you 85/15 in your favour, and let you sell as much action off your side as you wanted (obv) Sigh! Ul sir, kind of fair enough and it is in T+Cs but I'm sure everyone involved understands your disappointment.

That would have been hugely tempting :)

Great news. Nicks a decent chap but could be in for a written warning if you win the £500 :)

Lol, that's about as likely as someone making two GP final tables... not very likely

I asked if my entry counted as a Golden Chip though :)

Had you asked me last Monday I'd have had a different view, but pause for reflection and 26 comedy acts in three and a half days at The Fringe lent a new perspective. I'm happy with where we are.

Glad you got it all sorted out, think the 500 is pretty good of DTD. See you there!
