Title: World Class Post by: 77dave on August 12, 2012, 01:55:04 PM Which players from Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool would you say are actually world class?
Title: Re: World Class Post by: pleno1 on August 12, 2012, 01:57:00 PM Why did you include Liverpool and not Newcastle? Top 5 innit.
Title: Re: World Class Post by: millidonk on August 12, 2012, 02:00:21 PM Ashley Cole, Scholes and Suarez.
Title: Re: World Class Post by: Longy on August 12, 2012, 02:02:28 PM Define World class ;)
Title: Re: World Class Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2012, 02:05:54 PM Man C
Hart Kompany Silva Aguero Balotelli Yaya Toure Man U Rooney Vidic Chelsea A Cole Arsenal Van Persie Spurs Bale Modric Liverpool Gerrard Title: Re: World Class Post by: pleno1 on August 12, 2012, 02:09:44 PM balotelli is nowhere near world class imo.
Bale too. Just because one good game vs inter doesn't make him world class. I'd add Collocini to the list. Title: Re: World Class Post by: pleno1 on August 12, 2012, 02:10:07 PM oh and not gerrard obv.
Title: Re: World Class Post by: pleno1 on August 12, 2012, 02:11:22 PM modric definitely isn't world class either, probably wouldn't get in spains squad. cant shoot, cant defend.
Title: Re: World Class Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2012, 02:12:02 PM balotelli is nowhere near world class imo. Bale too. Just because one good game vs inter doesn't make him world class. I'd add Collocini to the list. Collocini doesn't play for one of the requested teams :-) Title: Re: World Class Post by: pleno1 on August 12, 2012, 02:14:10 PM even rooney is v debatable
Title: Re: World Class Post by: rfgqqabc on August 12, 2012, 02:18:18 PM Cashley, Scholes, Toure, Silva, Hart
Really high standards for world class. +1 on bale being overrated as is Vidic imo Title: Re: World Class Post by: 77dave on August 12, 2012, 02:20:03 PM Define World class ;) You could argue a case for a player to make a world 25 squad. Title: Re: World Class Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2012, 02:22:07 PM Define World class ;) You could argue a case for a player to make a world 25 squad. just about none of them then. I reckon I'd construct a genuine 25 man world squad without needing a Premier League player Title: Re: World Class Post by: Tal on August 12, 2012, 02:22:38 PM Kyle Walker I would happily add to that list. Even at my most partisan, I wouldn't add any other spurs players.
Title: Re: World Class Post by: pleno1 on August 12, 2012, 02:24:23 PM what? he didnt even make englands 25 man squad right?
Title: Re: World Class Post by: toddswain on August 12, 2012, 02:24:30 PM Surprised Scholes has been mentioned twice, i mean really ? Lets not get carried away.
Vidic was world class, but spent most of last season on the sidelines, +1 to Bale, Modric being over-rated, as with Balotelli. Title: Re: World Class Post by: millidonk on August 12, 2012, 02:30:18 PM Rooney just simply isn't world class, same as Gerrard even though I love him.
Xavi and Iniesta both rave about how good Scholes is and I agree. If the question was 1 player only it would be Ashley Cole ainec! Title: Re: World Class Post by: TightEnd on August 12, 2012, 02:32:13 PM Scholes is 37
What he once was, he isn't currently Xavi and Iniesta's comments were several years ago, iirc. Title: Re: World Class Post by: Alverton on August 12, 2012, 02:37:41 PM what? he didnt even make englands 25 man squad right? He was injured. Title: Re: World Class Post by: millidonk on August 12, 2012, 02:42:05 PM Scholes is 37 What he once was, he isn't currently Xavi and Iniesta's comments were several years ago, iirc. That is true but everytime I watched him play In the Premiership last season he completely bossed It and when he came on as a sub he turned games around. Just as good as Pirlo for Italy, in my eyes Scholes is still world class! Title: Re: World Class Post by: Alverton on August 12, 2012, 03:12:02 PM 25 world squad - Cole, Hart as 3rd keeper. Kompany, Toure, Aguero, Silva just missing out.

;nana; Title: Re: World Class Post by: Tal on August 13, 2012, 01:03:09 AM David Goodwillie ;nana; You might as well have said Mickel Beck Title: Re: World Class Post by: shedboymuff on August 13, 2012, 01:05:24 AM David Goodwillie ;nana; You might as well have said Mickel Beck or Mikkel Beck.. but he didnt play for the WFDUFC! Title: Re: World Class Post by: maldini32 on August 13, 2012, 03:18:39 AM modric definitely isn't world class either, probably wouldn't get in spains squad. cant shoot, cant defend. Thats not a very strong argument, Xavi is the same. I agree with you about Modric not being world class. |
