Title: Re: top performance of the games Post by: Ironside on August 12, 2012, 08:25:17 PM No Phelps was in the swimming ;) that's the first time I have genuinely laughed and smiled in about a month thanks mateTitle: Re: top performance of the games Post by: Longy on August 12, 2012, 08:30:18 PM Yeah Rudisha winning the 800m was probably the most impressive performance I saw. Doing that without any pacemaking in an Olympic final and breaking a world record, was something very special.

Could have had the centrepiece of a huge plant pot with dancers inside forming the face of Victor Meldrew. Then Fatboy Slim could have done a D J set from a giant dachshund telephone. [note to self: I'd make a great opening/closing ceremony director for the next Olympics] Failing that, as it didn't actually happen, Rudisha stood out for me. Him and Bert le Clos. Unbelievable! Title: Re: top performance of the games Post by: Woodsey on August 13, 2012, 01:17:13 AM ^ the tottee that was behind Eric Idle when he first appeared was incred. :)
