Title: guess player A's hand
Post by: Ironside on January 15, 2006, 07:52:26 PM
blinds are 150/300 player A UTG makes it 1k to go i call on button, flop comes  Jd 5d 7c player A puts in 1k i make it 1 with 2 he calls, turn  Td, we both check river is  4d he checks and i bet 2k (leaving me with 3k) he calls leaving him with about 8k when average was about 12k

now we all know i was at it but what do you think player A called with and what is the worst hand you would have called my river bet with

cin cin in glasgow £100 rebuy (after the rebuys)

a few hands earlier i was on 30k but hand to make 2 big laydowns after this hand i was on 3k and had to fight back to 43k before 30 minutes lapse of concentration and lack of food took me out

with a good  days rest i would love to play there all the time

As I said to you last night "The trouble with bets that look like they want to be called (eg half pot or less river bets) is that they quite often do"

On a wider note I also have difficulty playing against this kind of player in a tourney and there were quite a few about last night.  It is difficult to bluff them so you are only left with value betting the best hand and if you never have the best hand.......

How did you finish anyway?

went out as the TD was splitting the table down to 3 so i guess 27th blew 43k in 3 hands when the average was 28k and i should of been sitting back
