Tens is the line for me Thing is they show up with so much shit on .fr Sometimes it's even 66 when they make this mornic play Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: skolsuper on August 27, 2012, 08:06:36 PM QQ+. Don't think he's doing this with AQ so his range looks a lot like JJ+ to me. Yeah people do some hilarious stuff but that's just as good a reason to stick around.
tl;dr: AK flipping at best. Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: discomonkey on August 27, 2012, 08:15:32 PM QQ+. Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: JK on August 27, 2012, 09:31:55 PM Sorry to derail, but could someone explain what "29/24/14.3" means please? Holdem Manager stats. That particular stat is the common first three stats on the software, relating to "Voluntarily put in pot/Pre Flop Raise/3 bet %" Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: George2Loose on August 27, 2012, 09:32:40 PM Sorry to derail, but could someone explain what "29/24/14.3" means please? 29- VPIP- Voluntary enter the pot. So the villian is playing 29% of hands that Alex has on him 24- PFR- Pre flop raise. How often when he does enter he's raising (so he's entering most pots with a raise) 14.3- 3 bet % (how often villian 3 bets) However Alex has very few hands on the opponent so this stats can sometimes be misleading. Someone who appears to be playing a lot of hands may just be on a card rush. More hands= more info hence why people buy hand histories. Title: Re: Calling range? Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: cambridgealex on August 27, 2012, 10:02:13 PM Thanks. Yeh cheers guys. I just write it down in PHA cos its what the online kidz do. No idea what they meant until now. Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: youthnkzR on August 28, 2012, 11:06:54 AM 3 hands: QQ KK AA - otherwise its a clear edge-pass.
Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: Dubai on August 28, 2012, 11:07:51 AM 9 s+ AQs+
Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: pleno1 on August 28, 2012, 11:58:50 AM Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: Dubai on August 28, 2012, 12:01:42 PM Because his range is way wider than you all think given he has 20bb stacks behind him and he just ships on us. I might even call 88.
Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: Dubai on August 28, 2012, 12:03:08 PM As me I definitely call 88, i mean as Alex i think 99+ AQs+ is about right- also a factor that he just lost a flip. Definitely widens villains range once he shoves and doesnt 3bc against us
Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: pleno1 on August 28, 2012, 12:17:51 PM Oh wow I just saw stacks I thought he had 3bet. Lol what?? How are people itt wanting to fold jj? Calling wayyyyyyy wider, similar to Dubai. Almost never has aq dominated and we can dominate him. 99 and aqs seems fine. Why does everybody want to play so right here? There's no icm consideratiod yet.
Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: cambridgealex on August 28, 2012, 02:28:32 PM The thing that wasn't going through my mind as I was tanking (with AQo) was all the stuff I'd seen on that site. Unbelievable stuff- people opening jamming 50bbs in a 50euro freezeout utg with K2o, People open jamming 25bbs with 66, A9 etc, 3b shoving 40bbs with K8 etc.
The 20bb stacks behind him, also made me more inclined to call. Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: rfgqqabc on August 28, 2012, 02:38:53 PM Grunch: like tt+ and ak
Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: skolsuper on August 28, 2012, 03:18:26 PM didn't notice everyone else was short, yeah AQo is a tough spot, think I still fold tho given how often he has AK. 99/TT+ AK for me
Title: Re: Calling range? Summer special Post by: the rage on August 31, 2012, 12:23:10 PM I will go for a calling range of JJ+, AQ+
I think that, quite often, with QQ+ villian would just flat to either get squeezed or play in position against an opponent that is possibly steaming a little from previous. I do think that AQ is a very tough call, but, as stated above, i think that villian's likely range is weighted more towards pairs that AQ is in decent shape against, as well as AJ+ |
