Title: Assigning a range
Post by: OverTheBorder on August 28, 2012, 07:51:57 PM
Player only played a few orbits on the table, not overly active, OPR doesnt really show a great deal and I am HUD less

What range do we assign here and what is our shoving range?  20ish players, not much cash till final table....I was a little lost with raise and 3b from such early position and probably made a bad fold

probably assign quite a tight range to the 3bettor, i think im getting in qq+ here.....  we have players behind and the 2 chip leaders are going to war utg and utg+1...... there are better spots with tt/jj/ak imo bc if we get called we are raped hard with those hands if we shove

Who the hell 3bets Utg vs Utg+1?

I go broke with TT+ and AK all day every day

QQ+? I have no idea tbh, really hard without opr/hud, we can easily see if one has outstanding 3b stats then. Without info i think pretty nitty is correct, not sure i fold JJ/AsKs ingame thoo

QQ+, AK for me.
The problem i see with JJ is that you are never going to get called by worse. You will either win a  ~10bb pot without showdown, or get to showdown either crushed or flipping with AK. On top of that there is a chance of players still to act having a hand that crushes you.
