Title: Hand vs Vinkky Post by: action man on September 04, 2012, 11:59:02 AM i don't post hands that often, only ones which i feel compelled to send to players i respect on skype. Probs do this about 4 times a year.
background on villain is hyper aggro, good player, and big winner, he won the ept player of the year last season. I think however he can be pretty easy to induce, however he puts you in spots very few others do, like this one. Pre flop, im 4b/c vs villain. On flop im bet/calling on the turn im c/c on the turn it surprised me that he didnt bet, so assumed he had showdown value or maybe had just flopped the world. on the river i check and... thoughts please. This was int he big 109 about 60 players out. Title: Re: Hand vs Vinkky Post by: smashedagain on September 04, 2012, 03:58:35 PM I keep coming back to it mate but I know you don't want to know what I think.
Most of the people you would appreciate a view on won't be up before tea time. Also there may be a slight reluctance to post because they know Trigg's nickname is "nobody". :) Title: Re: Hand vs Vinkky Post by: tikay on September 04, 2012, 04:04:53 PM No need for me to comment, he already sent it to me on Skype.

However he can have the Ac, the Jc and the Tc pretty easily and I think he'd jam them all for value, this (combined with the fact you prolly don't have the Ac / Jc) makes it both a good spot for him to bluff with everything and prolly a spot you should fold. I really am not sure though. Title: Re: Hand vs Vinkky Post by: SuuPRlim on September 04, 2012, 04:42:36 PM it's pretty hard for either of you to have a house but what % of the time do you think he thinks you would be 4b folding pf? The less he thinks you'll be 4bet folding pf the less likely you are to have Ac / Jc as your range to 4b/call will be mostly high card dominated and I think he'd expect most hands that include those two card to be played more aggressively at some point, possibly excluding Jc Jx. Makes him way more likely to be bluffing.

This is a marginal decision to call all-in as still 2nd in chips after folding. But villain knows that as well. But because he is hyper aggro he is prob expecting you to call lighter so it swings back to a fold for me.

Once you flop ttkp in a 4b pot i guess you have to go with it. I do however prefer either betting smaller OTF or C/R. Title: Re: Hand vs Vinkky Post by: Oxford_HRV on September 05, 2012, 02:23:19 AM I like how you say you are bet calling on the flop, prefer leading out for 16/17k though, just because I think against real aggro players you get them in the spot on boards like this where they want to rep big so you can induce them to 3b/f with air
it's good to 4b huge pre for value here I think against this guy and I would follow the same line as you in game. I can't see the guy hanging himself on the river here, he must have a club and we must hate life Title: Re: Hand vs Vinkky Post by: AlexMartin on September 06, 2012, 05:19:56 AM No need for me to comment, he already sent it to me on Skype. love it |
