Title: 400nl flop spot
Post by: pleno1 on September 06, 2012, 10:58:40 PM
Hi. 400nl game, I have both villains covered they both have around 450.

I open mp w/65ss to 12. Hyper aggro fish 3bets to 52, unknown who I assume is a fish overcalls bb. We call.

Flop is q95 hhx

I turn to my friend and say wow flopped huge hand, turn back and villain 1 has gone all on for 400 andvillain 2 appears to have snapped.

It's a turbo table we have 6 secOnds left. We?

Sigh etc, but it's an easy fold. In a three way coup you can be dominated too easily.

peeling 52 off a 400 stack and flopping that! not folding (and pre is dirrrrrty, even if you are a wizard :P )

Thing is this is a great gambling spot in a heads up pot since it can never be dominated, but threeway it completely sucks despite looking so sexy.

450 and absolute million in folding :p position plus prettyness. Also mg 4 colour deck induces this as its so so sexy.

It's the worst hand I'd call btw and would fold a huge bunch here. In basically calling pairs, 56s 67s 78s 89s and aqs rest is rip or rip. DUCWIDT?

Plus it is a leak not to open 73o UTG. Not all the time obviously; around 35% of the time is optimum. This is to protect your preflop range by ensuring that your opponent cannot discount the low offsuit 3 gappers from your range. Otherwise you are insanely easy to play against on 773 or 844 flops since your range is capped. If you are 3bet then these are great hands to 4bet bluff with since they contaIn blockers to hands like K7s or 64s that an opponent might have in his light-3bet-planning-a-5bet-bluff-shove range.

Obviously 28.7% of 2+2ers who read that paragraph would take it seriously.
