Title: Hillsborough findings
Post by: bobby1 on September 12, 2012, 02:55:18 PM
Just absolutely shameful findings. I feel sick to the pit of my stomach.

If I was to take out facts from statements in a court case would I face criminal proceedings? if it was found out years later? Surely there must be people brought to justice and convicted over this.

+1

The cover up is obscene in places. The families have achieved something seemingly incredible through their work, which should really have been the very least they should have been given in the first place.

Kelvin MacKenzie you are utter scum (and I use that term unapologetically).

In 2006:

"All I did wrong there was tell the truth. There was a surge of Liverpool fans who had been drinking and that is what caused the disaster. The only thing different we did was put it under the headline "The Truth". I went on The World at One the next day and apologised. I only did that because Rupert Murdoch told me to. I wasn't sorry then and I'm not sorry now because we told the truth."

Today (12 September 2012):

"It has taken more than two decades, 400,000 documents and a two-year inquiry to discover to my horror that it would have far more accurate had I written the headline The Lies rather than The Truth. I published in good faith and I am sorry that it was so wrong."

A vile, odious individual who should never be seen or heard in the media again.

+1.

I think you're being very controlled in your połitiness towards him (him being the wrong word, as that implies he is human)
