Title: Ever Folding
Post by: the sicilian on September 13, 2012, 02:06:24 PM
Standard G casino £50 comp

blinds 100-200 25A  stack 14.5 K

Serial limper mid postion limps..i make it 700 otb with Q 10... BB comes along as does limper..

Flop 10 10 J  2 hearts both check...because of the draw heavy board I lead for 1600...BB jams it in my eye for 14K..our stacks almost equal..limper gets out of the way..

As played it leans to a big draw..KQ  or hearts etc... he could have A10 K10...but the big shove feels more like a draw...so pretty sure we are ahead do we call it off for 70bb total or can we find a fold here knowing we can move through this field without taking such big gambles ?

Call anyone you like a little bit, spite fold to all squareheads who you know are going to say variously:

"I thought I could get you off it"

"It was all in or fold"

"Look at that flop, I couldn't lay those down, could I ?"

"Didn't think you had anything"

I don't think folding here suggests that you'll be moving through this field any time soon.

Wouldn't ever play a hand that beats you this fast, it's a draw everytime.

I would do a 'victory' lap around the card room high fiving every player and call

How long clock?
Standard of field?

How much ftw?
History with Bb jammer? Is he any good?

Struggling to find a reason to fold given the info in OP but then again there isnt that much info.

Exactly, just face up to it and drop down a level until your confidence is back

Another great post without being offensive. How do you play it / react when he makes his flush on the river now.
I personally prefer the quiet call nodding at the rest of the table at how good I am. Then on the river call the Villan a wanker then flip the table over.

Note: Don't try flipping a roulette table over once and made myself look even more stupid.

?

Just wanted more info. Yeah we can all say we have a ten, another ten and another ten... So three tens but I like to factor in alot of info before nit rolling. It's live so no 10 tabling or time banks to worry about

Disagree completely to the level of celebration in the call.

Think i like a fold in  a really soft tourney, where we are 2/1 fav, flipping, or dead, and never ever dominating.

FML: Read it as TJ2 lol.

Victory lap indeed.

We're dominating random 10s that show up too. The good old T5 suited, or even legit tens such as T9 T8.

Get it in.

12 left
8 hour clock
10 mental patients, villain and us
14 paid
2 billion dollars
Bb jammer is Phil Ivey

Wtf does it matter, unless it's a satellite where we are guaranteed a seat or some schizz, it's a call

I think this is one of those occasions where words only in print have led you to misread my tone

Ok. I was trying to address the exact question posed. The OP and title does specifically ask the question..EVER folding?

9/10 the answer is no but without all of the facts we can't say if there is a time where we EVER fold. There will be probs 1/10 occasions or maybe less where we can fold but we need more info and a good reason to fold hence my reply looking for an excuse or reason to click fold.

this is a spot where you've gotta go into the tank for about 10 mins before calling, and basically refuse to show your hand until the dealer finally makes u turn it over.

that way if he has K10 / A10 u look pretty damn smart for nearly finding a fold and if he has a draw and makes it, you can say your gut told you this would happen and thats why it took you so long to call.

obviously if he has a draw and it bricks, youve gotta do some bigtime celebration.
