Title: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Laxie on September 17, 2012, 08:17:46 PM As predicted, kinboshi failed to deliver. Like it or lump it, I'm here to pick up the pieces. Or make bits of it...whichever. :D
Standard reverse sheep rules: 1) Try and think of least popular/unique answers. Like on Pointless. 2) Score for each question is the number of people who gave that answer. 3) Lowest score wins. 4) Highest scoring answer is the sheep score. Incorrect answers score sheep score + 5. 5) No using google etc. 6) No asking for clarification on questions. Answer however you may interpret. Simple! PM your answers to me by 11pm Wednesday 19th Sept. The reveal will take place at 8pm on Thursday the 20th. That's this week folks. The more people who play the better it is. Only takes 2 minutes to throw some answers together. And even the obvious answers don't always do too badly, as of course no-one is stupid enough to actually go for them... You must pass on one question. You score 0 for the question you pass. I don't care which one you decide to pass, but make sure you pass on one...there will be penalties for failure to comply! Just haven't decided what the penalties are yet. 1. Name one of the seven deadly sins. 2. Pick a colour of ball used for snooker 3. Name a piece on a chess board 4. Name one of the 10 cloud types in the troposhpere (that's the sky for some of you) 5. Name one of the NASA space shuttles 6. Name one of the top 10 newspapers in America as stated in Wiki this evening. (I've already copied the list, so don't try to edit wiki ffs!) 7. Name a comic book hero who hit the big screen 8. Name a domestic farm animal 9. Name one of the blood types 10. Name one of the top 20 most powerful women as listed by Forbes 11. Name an NBA team 12. Name a Harry Potter Film 13. A thread on blonde with 1000 PAGES or more. Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Tal on September 17, 2012, 10:29:49 PM In. Not sure if done it right but scared to ask... If I'm understanding correctly, it's pick a correct answer that the fewest other people entering will pick...and the angrier you make everyone else in the process, the more bonus points you get. That close enough? Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Laxie on September 18, 2012, 08:50:13 AM In. Not sure if done it right but scared to ask... If I'm understanding correctly, it's pick a correct answer that the fewest other people entering will pick...and the angrier you make everyone else in the process, the more bonus points you get. That close enough? That about covers it. No RSQ is complete without tilting Tighty. Tilting Kinboshi is just a bonus. The rest of you are expected to aid in this goal by objecting to as many of their answers as possible. You also have to give the QM as much abuse as possible so it doesn't look suspicious. It's obv a conspiracy. ;angel; Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Laxie on September 18, 2012, 09:49:40 AM The depths some people will stoop to. Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: TightEnd on September 18, 2012, 10:19:10 AM To whom it may concern, even Laxie. If must.
If I am penalised for answering an edited question in good faith and with a correct answer, when I myself was NOT the one who abused my mod powers, I will withdraw my support for any future RSQs forthwith. I humbly suggest that the concept will then wither and die alongside previous attempts to resuscitate what was once a noble quiz played in good faith by many, and which has come back from the calamities of Laxie, Delboy, Smashedagain and Laxie quizzes of yonder, which frankly were an affront to the good name of quizzes. Yours Sincerely Nine Time RSQ Winner. Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Laxie on September 18, 2012, 10:24:02 AM All hell's breaking loose and we haven't even started the reveal. You then said you wouldn't allow Tighty and Mouth to change their answers (the only two who entered during that period), which was just plain daft. Anyway, RIP RSQ. Objection! None of this would have happened if you hadn't ducked your duty and not handed in a RSQ on time! Was half way through my RSQ, and then Laxie put hers up (unrequested). Mine had a picture round, video round and even a music round. Was going to be epic. In the bin now. Blame Laxie. Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Three people were affected. Tighty, Mouth and Smashedagain. All three were given the opportunity to amend their answers as it was the only fair way to deal with your blatant abuse of power. Here is an alpaca farm: http://www.marshwood-alpacas.co.uk/ Now, we need to talk about Rupert the Bear. Originally, I didn't put up much of a fight since I thought I'd goofed and he hadn't been on the big screen, but I've found at least one example of him appearing at a cinema, so I'm going to put up a fight here. Firstly http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero#The_modern_fictional_hero suggests that "Hero" is just another word for protagonist. Who could argue that Rupert the Bear isn't the protagonist of his eponymous cartoon strip? The question wasn't "super hero" was it? Secondly, Tighty and Tal's description of Rupert being someone who just sits around wearing a scarf suggests their literary criticism isn't up to much. Rupert frequently has to save his friends from unpleasant fates. What could be more heroic than that? Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! You've just proven my point. The question didn't say how heroic the hero had to be, did it? And besides, hero just means protagonist. Poirot is the hero of the Poirot books, but he's never pulled children out of a burning building using his little grey cells. Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Laxie on September 20, 2012, 10:01:11 PM My answer was Christine Lagarde I edited the private joke which I crossed out in my PM and you chose to repeat in public (cheers for that), out of your answer above I'm sorry, but when you were given a chance to re-submit, you failed to cross it out a second time. I was therefore bound to take the first answer of the two. My mistake about the other bit though...was hysterical, but I agree with the edit. Soz. ok I'm done Absolutely pathetic You're not pouting - AGAIN?! rotflmfao Awwwww, cheer up...it gets better. Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Laxie on September 20, 2012, 10:03:06 PM

Would have been an epic disaster if I'd to deal with all those score changes without his help. Thank you Honey! xx

Post by: Cf on September 20, 2012, 11:24:59 PM I'm all for winding Tighty up but if he submitted a correct answer then I don't see why it wasn't taken.
Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: Laxie on September 20, 2012, 11:35:21 PM I'm all for winding Tighty up but if he submitted a correct answer then I don't see why it wasn't taken. He submitted 2 answers for the same question. The first time, he had the first of two answers crossed off and second one had no line through it, so I took the second as his answer. Then it was discovered Boshi had fiddled with OP. I gave Tighty, Mouth and Smashedagain the opportunity to submit a correct answer for Q13 as they'd submitted during the fiddle. Mouth and Smashed happily just submitted a correct answer. Tighty insisted on being permitted to re-submit the lot, giving him the chance to pass on the last question. I gave up the fight and just let him. Except, when he re-submitted, he didn't cross off the previously crossed off answer for Q10. Right or wrong, I took the first of the two, but if right were reeeeeeeally right...he should have been made to answer the question same as the other two did. Tighty knows I mean him no harm. All in good fun and he'll get me back some other time. :D Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: mondatoo on September 21, 2012, 12:00:25 AM Thread delviers, PMSL @ Claypole's Harry Spotter answer. Hopefully the next one will be easy enough for me to enter, feel like it's my time to host one of these, would crush all FAILS before me.

Title: Re: RSQ Hell...Laxie's back! Post by: kinboshi on September 21, 2012, 07:28:42 AM Dawn loses as QM by including a question with just three correct answers.
[ ] understands the RSQ Oh, and it seems anyone can do the next one, as Laxie sure as hell hasn't come close to winning one and still took it upon herself to create that poor mockery of what the RSQ should be. If the question is vague, that's the QM's fault. If you ask for a type of blood, you're not asking for an exact blood group and so red, blue, AB, congealed, anaemic, diseased, etc., are all valid answers. Comic book hero who has hit the big screen. The question doesn't mention super heroes, and failing Rupert would be idiotic. Just because the ridiculous QM might have thought of a group of answers in her head, if she doesn't ask the right question then she can't complain when people answer the actual question posed. Failing tighty for a joke is ridiculous as well. Also, I'm sure it said no use of Google, but some of those answers clearly show evidence of people having done some research. Farce of an RSQ.
