Title: 45 man turbo question
Post by: Ironside on September 21, 2012, 09:09:29 PM
playing for the win just past the bubble and chip leader
2nd chip leader who is basically same stack as me hasnt shown much
is 99 enough to call the shove with my thinking is why risk playing against be stack with a a top 10 hand
when the shorties will be trying to ladder
or get em in you are going to need to play some 50/50s at some stage

Wow really? As a std I'd go 88+ aqs+ ako+ just from a purely gut feeling range

Given the chipstacks involved I am pretty tight here 99 is an easy fold jj and up would be my range

My instinct would be theres too many shorties to call in this spot. Haven't played sngs in ages though.

I'd call here, but I can play loose with ICM when it is only $7.  I'd probably call if it was $100 too.  If we fold here, we are no longer 2nd in chips.  We could easily find people shoving in front of us until the blinds come round, then we get the inevitable ladder to 5th.

i feel like 99 is the cut off hand, id be folding 88 happily and calling tt. 99 would be a sigh whether you call or fold i think..... not a turbo sng reg though and im sure one of the guys that is has some chart or numbers that would lead us to the corerct range here

my instinct would be 99/aqo+
