Title: how should you be playing this flop/t/r Post by: Oxford_HRV on September 22, 2012, 06:09:44 AM ive been on the table for about 30/40 mins here and the villain in question is definitely being table boss, they are the most active, lots of raising and lots of showdown hands with other players.
hand that made me think he was really aggro+wild player was this play pre.. $0.50 / $1 hero on BTN Seat 1: VILLAIN - $300.42 Seat 2: HERO - $79 Seat 3: ANON - $77 Seat 4: ANON - $275.44 Seat 5: ANON - $78.07 Seat 6: ANON - $100 ANON posts small blind ($0.50) ANON posts big blind ($1) Dealing Cards Dealing 8h 5c Ad Qd ANON calls $1 ANON folds VILLAIN calls $1 HERO raises to $5.50 ANON calls $5.50 ANON calls $5.50 VILLAIN raises to $33 HERO calls $33 ANON calls $33 Pot sizes: $110 Dealing Flop Kc 6d Jd ANON checks VILLAIN bets $110 HERO calls $46 (all-in) VILLAIN shows Td Kh 6c 9h didnt get there :dontask: ahhhh HAND IN QUESTION hero on SB Blinds are now $0.50 / $1 Seat 1: VILLAIN - $448.49 Seat 2: HERO - $99.50 Seat 3: ANON - $84.90 Seat 6: ANON - $102.50 Dealing Ts 9s 9h 7h mavenmoo folds VILLAIN raises to $3.50 HERO calls $3.50 nicerider calls $3.50 Pot sizes: $10.50 Dealing Flop Tc 8s Ks HERO bets $6 nicerider folds VILLAIN calls $6 Pot sizes: $22.50 Dealing Turn 3s HERO bets $11.21 VILLAIN raises to $33.67 HERO calls $33.67 Pot sizes: $89.84 Dealing River Kh HERO checks VILLAIN bets $89.84 HERO calls $56.33 (all-in) Pot sizes: $202.50 VILLAIN shows 4d 2d Aspades Qc HERO shows Ts 9s 9h 7h I presumed villain was bluffing with the turn raise as i expect him to 3b me on the flop with set's and Q+A NFD's with straight combos and since we have the spade blockers for alot of str8+flush combos he could have been playing/repping so when we come to the river and he shoves i cant see him having a house because i think he is very rarely raising 2 pair on the turn or a better flush as i cant see him raising me with a Js flush nor see him not trying to get more in on the flop with better if he had a good hand all in all i am happy with my in game read here, as it payed off, but.. i want to know where my theory in this hand is flawed and want to know how this should be play optimally Title: Re: how should you be playing this flop/t/r Post by: Ironside on September 22, 2012, 04:50:09 PM is this high lo?
high or high lo the first hand is an easy fold pre 2nd hand is a fold on high lo if its high then its pot the flop pot the turn and call off when he puts you in Title: Re: how should you be playing this flop/t/r Post by: discomonkey on September 23, 2012, 02:11:39 AM not a huge omaha player but id be pretty confident folding pre in hand 1 is standard....
hand 2 wp Title: Re: how should you be playing this flop/t/r Post by: Oxford_HRV on September 23, 2012, 02:26:29 AM hand one wasn't tried to have been played well, I was having a little spin up. Just wanted to give the info on how villain was capable of playing.
this is just high PLO Should I be putting villain on a bluff here when he raises the turn? His line seems strange for his style of play Title: Re: how should you be playing this flop/t/r Post by: Ironside on September 23, 2012, 08:15:28 AM first hand your only ever going to be spinning down with said hand
2nd hand once you have lead the turn you can either fold or get it in flatting and calling the river is the worst option you could assert pot control by check calling turn and river but your not going to save that much |
