hey so i burnt my fingers a bit during barcelona but overall i had a very good month online so i've decided to try and have another shot at a big live event lol.

the event is held in cannes in the south of france, where the disposable income is astronomically high and the poker is fantastic. last year turned out 593 runners and offered €1.4m 1st place. i played the event and ran up a stack before admittedly blowing up in a hand. unfortunately that is a part of my game that still exists although i am getting better :)

and at the bottom is my lifetime sharkscope for all online sites showing the high's and low's of my mtt career in a nice graph lol.


i am only going for the main event which is a €10,450 buy in. i am looking to sell 40% @ ~1.24, thus 1% = €130. i can accept payment via either pokerstars or bank transfer. i will be paying out at the rate i get paid and payout's may take a week or two because i am going straight from cannes to san remo.

35k last count on pokernews live updates

Grinded very hard all day probably the most patient I've ever been live actually and made it through with 75k.

Return Monday for day 2 300/600 blinds avg is like 55k so pretty deece.

Shocking how this many people had €10k to burn on a poker tournament btw the vast majority of hands I saw today were just laughable. Having said that I think the numbers are slightly down on last year.

God that guy, won a pot of eames called a 98X all spades flop then c/r AI on an ACE turn with the Js 8x and Eames calls with a set. Mizrachi wins though because that just how he rolls. Tilting he's been winning money at poker this year and there is no online poker platform I can play him on.

yeah it was not a "I don't know anyone" sort of a fishy table brag but more acknowledging the fact that with there being more chips there then its a good spot to put yourself in a good position for a great stack at the final. There ain't much more tilting than sitting on a table where everyone is under average stack whilst another table is Rolfing  betting for fun.

Day started great and went downhill when QQ<ATo all in pre for 550k pot but I'm obv thrilled to make the final.

Today ended up being a huge test of patience. I got 1 big decision wrong which was frustrating but I had QQ vs his KK within the first orbit of the final and lost 8bb total on the hand btn vs bb. we could have gotten it in pre for 80, instead folded the Kxx so I feel pretty lucky to still be in at all.

What are taxation laws on earnings from backing? Officially should it be taxed?

(obviously Bram does not have to pay tax)

I believed the you could give someone like 3k a year tax free or somthing like that family is 10k? or have i just made these figures up!

Esfandiari mentioned that he disclosed all the people that had %'s of him to the tax people for One Drop and they'd each have to sort it seperately.

Yeah states is different to over here. In the states you have to fill out your tax returns. Obv they will be very interested in where Antonio's $18 million goes. Thankfully gambling is taxed at source in this country so basically its the casino / cardroom that are taxed, think they pay 50% on profit. Some  Scandi countries make their players pay 50% tax on winnings, ref Peter Eastgate. How many players in this country would be able to survive paying 15% tax let alone 50%.
