Title: Day 3, £500 DS, first hand. Post by: aaron1867 on October 11, 2012, 04:26:40 AM Blinds 5k/10k
My stack 247,000. This is the first hand of day three. The BB is not at the table yet, so we have one less player to get through. We are in seat 9 and blinds are at seat 3 & 4. It is passed round to me and we only have to get through 3 players and we see A2 what are we doing. Seat 1 stack (350-400) Seat 2 stack (220) Seat 3 stack (600+) Title: Re: Day 3, £500 DS, first hand. Post by: jgcblack on October 11, 2012, 07:42:34 AM minr/ fold.
We have 24 Bb's a reasonable hand for late position and people in these things just dont take off because there is the BB missing. I have fought very hard for dead Bb pots in the past, only to find 'they' have a hand almost all of the time. #timetolevelyourself Title: Re: Day 3, £500 DS, first hand. also being the first hand of the day, am pretty sure people are less likely to mess with you. Title: Re: Day 3, £500 DS, first hand. Post by: MC on October 11, 2012, 09:57:06 AM Yeah MR/fold, open fold is fine too

As played raise now. Title: Re: Day 3, £500 DS, first hand. Post by: aaron1867 on October 11, 2012, 06:34:04 PM We saw the 2 first and I was tempted not to bother seeing the other card, but we did.
I raise to 24k. Seat 1: Fold Seat 2: Call (wtf?) Seat 3: Puts me all in. I didn't dwell on it, just folded. It did however set me up badly for the day, which was disappointing. I know what you mean, these hands tend to have a momentum affect on your tournament, the difference between a few of these spots getting through and none of them getting through is paramount to success in tournaments, and that's something out of your control completely. Post by: AlexMartin on October 12, 2012, 05:12:22 AM think its a pretty horrilble open tbh, esp live off this stack size, especially for a min. you will get peeled a tonne by the blinds, rarely flop high/any equity, stuggle to flop deceptive hands meh, fold.

Post by: willrobrobu on October 18, 2012, 12:16:24 PM dont think min fold is terrible, if u think theres a reasonable chance it will get through.
but w so much limping/calling occurring live i think its a fold pre for me off that stack size. Title: Re: Day 3, £500 DS, first hand. Probably open myself but not sure how right it is. Title: Re: Day 3, £500 DS, first hand. Post by: brookie on October 21, 2012, 05:34:41 PM think i folding there u still got 24bb left
