Title: Improving? Post by: Poppet7 on January 17, 2006, 03:00:22 AM I think at long last I am improving the way I play poker! I managed to get some money deposited in accounts on pokerstars and blue square, I was playing pokerstars on Saturday night and managed to get into the money everytime apart from one where my AA got cracked and I was out 9th! So I was really pleased by those results (Thanks to The Tank because he is trying to give me a few tips and they worked!). I also played pokerstars yesterday and I had 3 3rds, 1 5th and a 1st.. was really pleased with those too because once again, I'd only lost on one occasion. Today my blue square account was activated so I thought I'd try it out, went into a cash game and made $10 staright away, played a six seater, came 1st, played another came 4th (the latter being not too good!) Lost $10 on another cash game and then just now I won a 9 seater $2 tourney too.
I know this may be a small achievement compared to some of you on this forum, but I am really proud of myself! I feel like I'm playing better than before and it's not down to lucky rivers or anything, it's actually me having the knowledge of when to fold, raise and bluff. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting me and helping, especially Tanky, Ruthless and Skip :) ;letsparty; ;letsparty; ;letsparty; ;letsparty; ;letsparty; Title: Re: Improving? Title: Re: Improving? Post by: totalise on January 17, 2006, 03:05:42 AM congrats..
as for your achievements being "small", there are many thousands of people out there in cyber-space who wish they were up $30 or so for their nights play! be proud of winning at any level, for its better to be a winning player at low stakes rather then being a losing player at high stakes. That's very true :) I was just comparing myself to those that play the huge tourneys and win. I know I should be pleased with what I have achieved and I am! :)up Title: Re: Improving?
