Title: Information from other players at the table.
Post by: BorntoBubble on October 15, 2012, 06:48:54 PM
Playing in the £100 at Genting Sheffield on Saturday. One day comp and we are about 5-6 hours in.

Ive just moved to my 6th table of the night! (I don't like sitting still anyway!) And i am about 15 hands into this table i have already raised twice from late position last orbit. Once got shipped on and i folded and once it folded and i picked up the blinds.

During these 15 hands Player A 3 bets from the SB quite large to a min raise from MP i think he made it about 15k~ as to which the original raiser passes. The player next to me (who i have played with before and think is an average player. But by no means do i know this player or think of them as a friend etc...) then says wow that's the first time hes made a raise all day as to which we had a short discussion about this gentlemen liking to flat a lot.

Anyway to the hand. I am in LP and Player A is in the BB.

I am a 21 year old wearing a hoody they already think im a young internet kid who is going to play like a maniac before i have played a hand let alone after i have raised twice!!! in 15 hands! unbelievable i know!

He is 50ish? looks like a recreational kinda guy who seemed to feel comfortable at the table. He has already made a comment about me being young etc.

My stack 60k his stack about 55k.

blinds 1k/2k ante 200 full ring.

I pick up 10/10 and make it 4.4k. he makes it 16k from the BB.

What next?

Folding until I see him do it with worse.

30bb so valuable in this MTT with these players.

Fold.

Bad, live, old, rec players 3bt ranges are generally tighter than they should be.  Its not 88-99 enough for anything but a fold to be correct imo

Read that a 50 year old 3bet you. Purely based on generalizations TT is really easy fold without reads otherwise.
